September 13th, 2010 under Lifetime. [ Comments: 7 ]

The 19th Wife premieres on Lifetime tonight at 9p est/8p cen and you are going to want to get married to this movie. The story is about the polygamous world of a Mormon community. When one of the community’s husbands is found dead, his “19 wife” aka BeckyLyn is accused of his murder and arrested for the crime. BeckyLyn’s son, who was excommunicated, gets a call from his best friend Queenie and she tells him to come back and help clear his mom’s name. The two of them try to find out who really killed his dad, as the movie also tells the story of Brigham Young’s “19th wife”. There will be a lot of twist turns in this murder mystery with an ending you will never ever see coming.
Grey’s Anatomy Chyler Leigh is fantastic in a role that is so different than anything she has done in the past and The Good Wife’s Matt Czuchry excels as a son trying to uncover the truth.
The 19th Wife is not only an exceptional murder mystery, it also gives insight into the fundamentalist sect First Church of Latter Day Saints. It helps to give an understanding why the women are willing to live in a polygamist world.
So tune into a movie that will is entertaining as well as educational tonight on Lifetime at 9p est/8p cen.

Get vocal and watch Bond of Silence tonight!
August 23rd, 2010 under Lifetime. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight on Lifetime at 9p Bond of Silence will premiere and you are not going to want to miss this movie!
It is New Year’s Eve, your neighbors are away and their teenage son is having a loud party at their house and it looks like it is getting out hand. What do you do? Well Bob McIntosh made the fatal mistake of going over there and telling the kids to quiet down. Bob enters his neighbors’ bedroom where a group of teens are partying alone there, so he tells them to get out and go downstairs. When the clock strikes 12m and he is not home, his wife Katy sends her friend over to find husband. What he finds is his friend Bob barely clinging on to life. Although the hospital does everything they can to save him, there is nothing they can do. Now he wife is left alone with their two young kids and no clue who killed her husband. Greg Grunberg plays the detective trying to solve the murder, but he hits a wall when the teens all bond together and remain silent about what happened that night. Their friendships start to fall apart and they threaten each other if anyone breaks the bond of silence. As Katy tries to find out what happened that night, the town turns against her and blame her for why people aren’t visiting their tourist town. After months of waiting to find out what happened she finally learns the truth and how she reacts to it will surprise you. In fact I hope that if Bonds of Silence does well tonight on Lifetime at 9p, that they will make a sequel telling that story.
Kim Raver plays the role of Katy McIntosh with such strength and conviction that you can’t help but get drawn into her performance. Although Greg Grunberg is playing a cop like he did on Heroes, this role is different than his last one and you would want to have him as the detective helping you out. All-in-all this is a well acted film that will keep you on the edge of your seat trying to figure what happened with an ending you will never see coming.

Last week’s cliffhanger about Claudia Joy’s husband Michael fate being unknown will be resolved quickly, so don’t worry you will not have to wait until next season to find out if he is alive or dead. Unlike last season’s finale this one does not end with as many cliffhangers. In fact by the end of the episode there will be a birth, a graduation, an engagement, a reunion, someone will not be back next season and someone will return. You will have to tune into Lifetime at 10p to find out..and make sure to have the tissues ready because you are going to need them.
On a real life Army Wives note, Catherine Bell’s son wanted to be out in enough to watch tonight’s finale. According to People, “Ronan arrived at 8:29 a.m. weighing in at 7 lbs., 7 oz. and is 19 3/4 inches long. He joins big sister Gemma, 7.”
