Before Katherine Heigl was a doctor on Grey’s Anatomy, she was just a teenager in My Father the Hero. Katherine Heigl looked the same at 15 in 1994 as she does now.
For five whole episode of Grey’s Anatomy we will be Katherine Heigl free!!! According to EW’s Michael Ausiello she is taking the time off to film a movie. Hollywood’s biggest complainer is working on Greg Berlanti’s movie Life As We Know It and I think is the first time I don’t want to see something that the creator of Everwood and Eli Stone has done. Greg, WTF are you thinking by hiring her???
Now back to the loud mouth and Grey’s, both her and Ellen Pompeo will be off at the same time so maybe the show will be enjoyable to watch again? I won’t miss Izzie’s bitchiness and Meredith’s whining, will you?
BTW how and why her character is leaving Seattle Grace is not yet known. I don’t care what it is as long as she off the show for at least five episodes!
UPDATE: Watch with Kristin got the scoop how Dr Izzie Stevens will be taking her break. Seattle Grace is going to merge with another hospital and Izzie will be fired. Sadly thought Heigl is only fired from the hospital and not the show. Ellen Pompeo will be slip in to the background during her maternity leave so that the show can show off its new characters. Grey’s is adding new characters because when the original actors’ contracts are up the show will be able to go on without them like ER did without the likes of George Clooney and Anthony Edwards.
Katherine Heigl was on David Letterman last night and she made sure to take the time to complain about Grey’s Anatomy again. She was whining about coming back to work on Wedenesday and having to work a 17 hour day. Now I can understand complaining about that, but maybe they had to schedule her for such a day so she could take time off to promote her latest bad acting job in a movie. If she is so miserable there, then why doesn’t she quit instead of saying she wants re-sign her contract when it ends in 2 years? I wouldn’t miss her on the show.
If I were the people on Grey’s, that she loves to publicly complain about, I would make her shave her instead of wearing a bald cap. Especially since the darker locks make her look like she is 30 going on 55. She is like the oldest looking 30ish actress in Hollywood, she even makes Katie Holmes look young.
Now back to her on Dave, could her fake laugh be any more annoying?
Finally after months of waiting to find out if Katherine Heigl and her BFF TR Knight would be granted their wish to be released from Grey’s Anatomy, we finally know. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting, what we all suspected after the season finale cliffhanger, that George will succumb to his injuries while Izzie will live on to annoy us more and earn another Emmy. All I ask of Shonda Rhimes is that she makes Heigl shave her head for real, it is the least she can do for us viewers. Don’t you think that is fair?

Katherine Heigl is once again putting herself up for Emmy contention according to EW's Michael Ausiello. I guess she feels the writers finally wrote something worthy for her ego. Personally I thought she could have done a better job with what she was given, Justin Chambers certainly did. If anyone should get the nom, it should be him. Granted I just don't like Katherine Heigl, so what she did might be Emmy worthy, I just can't see it. Wouldn't it be great Karma if the Emmy voters don't nominate her, but they will.
BTW who else thinks she will be back next season while TR Knight won't be. They have to kill one of them off because otherwise, I think, we the viewers will feel ripped-off.
