In the old days, the only flavored potato chips we had were barbeque, sour cream and onion, and salt and vinegar.
Well, those days are in the past. Now, they have a flavor for whatever mood you are in.
Case in point. Lay’s is bringing back four flavors that the fans loved for a limited time, and they are theming it Flavor That Hits Home.
Taco lovers, rejoice! Inspired by the West Coast, Lay’s Crispy Taco flavored chips offer hints of ground beef, sour cream, cheese, lettuce and tomato in one crispy bite.
In a nod to the Northeast and Atlantic regions, Lay’s BLT Sandwich flavored chips combine tastes of smoky bacon and tomato in a savory, crisp spin on one of America’s most beloved sandwiches.
Lay’s Fried Pickles with Ranch flavored chips take a page out of cookbooks from the South and Midwest with notes of dill, fried batter and ranch dressing.
Lay’s Kettle Cooked Lime & Cracked Pepper flavored chips mix the zesty citrus taste of lime with the kick of cracked pepper – all in one kettle-cooked bite.
Which one are you going to buy first? I want a bag of the BLT, and I will dip the chips in mayo! How good does that sound?
There was a rumor on social media this week that Dr. Pepper is being discontinued, and the soft drink company issued a press release.
So, do we need to call a doctor who doesn’t go by Pepper?
Hey internet,
You can all cool your thumbs, because Dr Pepper is not being discontinued. *applause* This rumor started with a TikTok video posted earlier this week.
No more Dr Pepper would be very upsetting. World crushing. The worst of all time. But you have nothing to worry about. Dr Pepper isn’t going anywhere. These 23 flavors are 4 life M.
And with that, let’s pop open a Dr. Pepper to celebrate!
Oreo has a new flavor coming on March 4th, and it is going to get you dirty. That is because it is Dirt Cake.
“Let the nostalgia commence! Introducing OREO Dirt Cake chocolate sandwich cookies, the Oreo brand’s take on the classic mud-pie dessert that everyone loved growing up. This indulgent cookie features the signature chocolate base cake that fans know and love, with a layer of rich brownie flavor creme on top of a layer of chocolate creme with Oreo wafer crumb and gummy worm-inspired sprinkles on top.”
The cake-inspired cookie will be available while supplies last.
And did I mention that Tiramisu THINS will become a permanent Oreo on the 4th?
Back when I was a kid, I remember chewing Fruit Strip Gum. I don’t remember what it tasted like. And that could be because the flavor went away after just a few bites.
And now that mysterious flavor that has been around since 1969 will be lost in time forever. That is because Ferrara Candy has discontinued the bubblegum. “We have made the difficult decision to sunset Fruit Stripe Gum, but consumers may still be able to find the product at select retailers nationwide,” a representative for the company wrote in a statement to Food & Wine.
Are you going to miss the chewing gum? Tell me in the comments.
