Paramount confirmed that they are finally making a sequel to School of Rock with Jack Black according to Variety.
Mike White, who penned the 2003 comedy, is writing the screenplay, titled “School of Rock 2: America Rocks,” which picks up with Finn leading a group of summer school students on a cross-country field trip that delves into the history of rock ‘n’ roll and explores the roots of blues, rap, country and other genres.
No word when they movie will begin production or if any of the original students will be part of the movie. Hopefullly the sequel will be as good as the original.

MTV is going back to comedy and, more specifically, back to Black.
