Another Heroes causality from the WGA strike could be Heroes' second season. Michael Ausiello is reporting that Heroes will be filming an alternate ending to its winter finale if the strike continues on for a few weeks.
Sources confirm that the show is going back and shooting an alternate ending to the Dec. 3 episode that, if used, would allow the episode to function as a season finale in the event of a strike. Originally, the episode was only supposed to serve as the conclusion of the current "Generations" arc. Should an 11th-hour agreement be reached and a strike averted (fingers crossed!), the alt ending would likely be scrapped.
Heroes is just one of the many shows that will be effected due to the WGA strike, but it will not be the first one that we will feel it from. The daily day of talk shows will start feeling it tomorrow, then the soaps and then scripted programming. Hopefully this strike will end quickly or we will be back in the same boat in a few months when the SAG and DGA's contracts are up.
But I do have to say something positive that came out of the Heroes news at least the Generations arc has an end date because that storyline bores me so far.
Variety is reporting that NBC pulled the plug on Heroes: Origins because of the possible Writer's strike.
The side project for Heroes is dead like Claire for the time being. Meaning at this point it is like a piece of wood in her head, as long as it is in there she is dead, but pull out the stake and she is alive.
Heroes: Origins had names like Kevin Smith and Eli Roth attached to it but that was not enough for the NBC, who is having financial problems due to falling ratings, to save the the side project for now.
While NBC is not saying it is officially dead, but once they kill something it is more like Issac Mendez's death than Claire's. I am rooting it is more like Claire's death and NBC will pull the stake out soon.
Maybe that is the problem I have had with the second season of Heroes, Claire is not a cheerleader. We need save the world and have Claire be a cheerleader again. So tune into Heroes tonight on NBC at 9p to see if she does make it to the team!

Lots of new powers being revealed in tonight’s Heroes on NBC at 9p and I can’t wait to see what they can do now. I also can’t wait to see what Matt Parkman’s father can do and what his relevance to the 12 are.
