Just like Sylar's powers during Volume 2 of Heroes, we are not sure when Heroes will come back.
Greg Beeman gave us an update on Heroes' future now that the last written episode aired.
Fans, I wish I could tell you what's happenin g, but I truly do not know what the future holds. None of us in Hollywood knows when the strike will be over, or if when and how many more episodes of HEROES will happen this year.
But no matter what, we WILL be back, serving you to the best of our abilities, as soon as we can.
As for this blog – it will go dark now – until the show is back on the air. Thank you all for this opportunity. This blog is half like a term paper I have to write every week, and half an incredible opportunity to become more directly linked to you guys… Our fans who are our life’s blood. It's become a very special experience for me to put it out there for you every week.
Until we meet again….
After watching the last :30 seconds of Heroes yesterday and seeing where Volume 3 is going, I am even more bummed we are not sure when Heroes will be back. I love that evil Sylar with powers is back and you know all that pent up energy is going to come out and when it does it is going to bring hell to earth!
And seriously who was not high-fiving Hiro when he buried Adam alive! That was my favorite scene of the season! Way to go Hiro!
Tonight’s Heroes looks amazing, I can’t wait to see how they wrap up the generations and virus arc. Plus who will die??? I am hearing that at least one of the deaths will stick!
Hopefully when Heroes comes back for season 3 we will get cute Hiro and likable Peter back because I have not been liking them as much this season.
So for weeks it was reported that the ending of next week's Heroes was reshot because of the WGA strike, although that is partially true it is not the full story!
Here is what Greg Beeman blogged after tonight's episode.
This episode is a penultimate episode on our “pod” of eleven. These kinds of episodes are always tricky because they are all about set up without complete resolution. Episode 11 will be (and always was designed to be the end of a chapter.) Season one, as we all know, had a 23 chapter “VOLUME,” as it were. But Tim Kring had come into this season specifically wanting to design smaller volumes. We knew well in advance how many episodes we’d run before our first break of re-runs and pre-emptions. After the eleventh episode on December 3rd, we’d take a break. This year, Tim wanted to resolve the story more completely at this first break than we had last year, and begin VOLUME 3 in the Spring. Well before the writers strike was a serious issue, we had always planned on ending VOLUME 2 next week. It is true that, on the eve of the strike, as it was becoming an inevitability, Tim did some quick rewrites on episode 11, so that it would be even more resolved and complete if, God forbid, the strike goes on so long that there is no more of season 2 than the first eleven. If that happens 11 will be a de-facto season finale and can function as such. But if the strike is resolved relatively soon, we will most certainly come back and present VOLUME 3.
I am glad that Beeman explained that because I was fearful that if the strike ended soon we would be without a new Heroes episode until the fall, now I know it could be back sooner than that.
Now I want to know what we are going to get in Volume 3???
Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) travels to Primatech Paper in Texas with his new friend to destroy the virus, which will kill 93% of the world’s population in the future — or so he believes. Niki (Ali Larter) returns to Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey) with bad news. To right a wrong, Monica (Dana Davis) puts her abilities to the test. Hiro (Masi Oka) goes after his father’s killer. Meanwhile, Matt (Greg Grunberg) uses his mental abilities to track down the last person in the Company photo. Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) learns his brother is alive. Outside of New York, Maya (Dania Ramirez) must choose between Alejandro (Shalim Ortiz) and Sylar (Zachary Quinto).
I can’t wait to see what insight she brings to the Generations and Shante Virus story arcs! Sadly if the WGA strike doesn’t end this week we will be watching the Heroes’ season finale next Monday. Which means her role will not take that long to play out.

Here is what Adrian Pasdar wrote about the video:
Mr. Oka gets stabbed in the eyeball by our very own Filthy Mc Nasty. I wish I could say this only happens once in a while. Alas, it is a morning ritual that Masi insists helps him prepare for the day…..
Poor Masi Oka! He is just so adorable, I want to reach into the YouTube clip and give him a lollipop and a hug.
BTW I am so glad Hiro is back in modern day with the other Heroes and can’t wait to see how he gets revenge on Kensei/Adam!
