Before Román Zaragoza was one of the outspoken Ghosts, he was the quiet member of the Glee Club on Austin & Ally. He looks the same now as he did when was 17 in that 2014 episode.

Tonight at 9p on CBS, the Ghosts and Jay, who can’t see or hear them like his wife, find a way to come together. What unites them? Dungeons & Dragons that is what!
Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) plays D&D with his old friends in NYC via Zoom. However, his internet keeps dropping out, so they drop him. When he tells Sam (Rose McIver) about it, Pete (Richie Moriarty) overhears the conversation and tells her he used to play all the time when he was alive in the ’80s. Jay suggests that he plays the game with Pete, and she translates what he does. She agrees to do it, along with Trevor (Asher Grodman), Alberta (Danielle Pinnock), and Sasappis (Roman Zaragoza). The Ghosts enjoy playing the game with the livings, but Sam finds it boring. What happens when she tells Jay the Ghosts don’t want to play anymore? They find a way to communicate with Jay. It is about time they ratted Sam out, instead of them always tattling on Jay eating FloOreos.
Jay is not the only one connecting with the Ghosts. Sam finds out that three British soldiers from the Revolutionary War live on her property in a shed. When they come to the house to confront Sam, she finds out that Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones) fought against them. Not only that, Isaac has been keeping a secret from Nigel (John Hartman), the British soldiers’ leader, all of these years. What is it? All I will say, we might have another Revolutionary War over it. Will they be able to call a truce before there is an all-out war? There is only one to solve their differences.
The thing I enjoyed most about this episode is that they found a way for Jay and the Ghosts to communicate. I can’t tell you how that you have to tune in and see. But it is sweet and funny at the same time.
Everything about Ghosts is sweet and funny. That is why anyone who watches it is falling in love with it. They even made me want to play Dungeons & Dragons. Just don’t tell my friends because they will take me up on it.
However, I might say yes if we can watch Ghosts while we play. It is my goal to get as many people as I can to watch because I need this show to come back for a second season. It is the only feel good show I am watching, and we all need that these days.

Tonight at 9p on CBS’s Ghosts, Sam (Rose McIver), who is a freelance journalist, wants to write an article for the local newspaper. So she has to pitch them some stories. That is when the Ghosts tell her that Flower (Sheila Carrasco) robbed a bank with her commune back in the ’60s and never got caught. They were doing a Robin Hood-type bank robbery. It sounds like the perfect debut story for Sam to write. There is only one problem; Flower won’t let her write it. What is she hiding? Alberta (Danielle Pinnock) and Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones) are on the case.
When Sam goes to the newspaper office, she meets two ghosts. One of those ghosts has a connection to one of her Ghosts, as in a love connection. Now, she wants to reunite them in her special way. However, her husband Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) thinks he knows exactly what to say to her, and Trevor (Asher Grodman), Pete (Richie Moriarty), and Sasappis (Roman Zaragoza) agree with him. Will the dead lovers have a lively rendezvous?
I can’t tell you that. But I can tell you we learn about ghost sex tonight. Now, I bet you want to watch.
That should be just one of the reasons to watch the show that everyone who is tuning in is falling in love with it. That is why their numbers keep growing. Check it out tonight and see why it is this season’s most-loved new show. It has laughs, heart, and it is an enjoyable half-hour of television you don’t want to miss.
Now, I just want to talk about McIver for a second. She is a very underrated actress. She was incredible on iZombie every week as she changed up her character to match whatever brains she ate. She is equally as impressive on Ghosts. So much so, I forget that she is from New Zealand and not America. Maybe Nicole Kidman can take a lesson from her to learn how to talk like an American if she is going to keep attempting to be playing one. Just saying. McIver doesn’t have that nasally thing about her when she talks that Kidman does.

Watch Ghosts’ Richie Moriarty scare his co-star Brandon Scott Jones 21 times! |

Ghosts is the surprise hit of the Fall. There are so many reasons why that is the case, but the biggest is the chemistry between the cast. If a cast doesn’t have that, then the show doesn’t have success. OK, that is not always true; see Grey’s Anatomy. However, for the most part, that is the case. And for the CBS show, it is definitely the case.
Don’t believe me? Here is Richie Moriarty scaring Brandon Scott Jones 21 times. Jones might play the tough Revolutionary War soldier on the series, but in real life, just calling his name out will make him jump. And Moriarty might play the nice Girl Scouts leader, but he has a mean streak to him. You know what, I like it! I like it a lot.
Now, that you have seen how this cast gets along behind the scenes, why don’t you watch the show to see that they also get along just as much in front of the camera.
Oh, and my favorite part of the video was seeing Trevor (Asher Grodman) in pants. Who knew he knew how to put them on. Don’t get the reference, then you should be watching Ghosts every Thursday at 9p on CBS.
One last note, I can’t believe with all of those scares, not once did Moriarty say, “Boo!” You would think since they play ghosts, that would be the first word he used. Right?

Tonight at 9p on CBS’s Ghosts, Pete (Richie Moriarty) is sad because his death day is coming up. Ever since he died in the ’80s, he has always wondered what happened to his wife (Caroline Aaron) and his daughter. Thanks to Facebook and Sam (Rose McIver), he will finally be reunited with his living wife for the anniversary of his death.
Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) tells his wife that this is a bad idea, and he is right. That is because she has a few surprises for him. What are they?
Trevor (Asher Grodman) also gets a surprise from Facebook when Sam looks up his last girlfriend before he died. What is it?
Sam also introduces Viking Thorfinn (Devan Chandler) and Native American Sasappis (Roman Zaragoza) to the dating show It’s Getting Hot In Here. You know what, it is such a brilliant idea; I hope CBS picks up for real.
Let’s start a petition that CBS make this reality show a reality. And while we are at it, let’s petition that they give Ghosts a second season! Why wait?
There is a reason why this show is doing better than Grey’s Anatomy in the overnights! Not only that, it is CBS’s #1 comedy after the 7-day totals. That is because it is the feel-good show we need. It is smart, funny, and full of heart—three things most shows don’t have anymore.
If you missed the first four episodes, then you can watch them now on Paramount+, CBS OnDemand, or CBS.com. And if you don’t have time, then you can start with tonight’s episode and witness how Pete was killed. Not that it wasn’t apparent because he does have an arrow through his neck.
Sometimes I fall in love with a show, and not everyone agrees with me. Ghosts is one of those shows that everyone who watches it is falling in love with it too.
