Freddie Prinze Jr. and Taryn Manning have signed on to topline "Jack and Jill vs. the World" for writer-director Vanessa Parise. Shooting starts this summer in Toronto. Romantic satire of the advertising world concerns a cynical guy who falls for a carefree young girl with a secret.Parise co-wrote with Peter Stebbings. Parise, Roger Spottiswoode, Nicholas Tabarrok and Magnet Management are producing; Jordan Gertner and Michael Jaffe exec produce. Also a singer, Manning is prepping a solo album and is expected to contribute songs to "Jack and Jill."Parise last directed indie "Kiss the Bride."

FREDDIE Prinze Jr. has seen the dark side of teen girlhood. "I was in the Vancouver airport, and I was speaking with a young girl," the actor told Webster Hall’s Baird Jones at the Vonage V Phone party at Aer nightclub. "She asked if I was Freddie Prinze Jr., and I said I was. She kind of giggled, and while I was talking with her, her girlfriend ran up and took my sandwich. I did not call out after her. I didn’t know what to do. I had never had anyone steal food from me before. How do you react if someone takes your sandwich? I just finished my cup of coffee and got on the plane and flew home."

| FREDDIE PRINZE JR is so fond of practical jokes, he has sickened celebrity pals by dressing as a serial killer and defecating in onset trailers. The actor is proud of his status as Hollywood's number one prankster and insists no trick is too low. Prinze Jr tells the New York Daily News, "CLAIRE FORLANI had watched a documentary on serial killers. So I dressed up as one of them – all in black with a T-shirt that I pulled over my eyes. "I knocked on her door with a kitchen knife. I apologised to her afterwards. Then there was the time MATT LILLARD once thought it was funny if he defecated in my hotel room – and it was. It made me laugh, so I defecated in his trailer, and it made him laugh."

SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR and FREDDIE PRINZE JR have slammed rumours Prinze’s new TV show FREDDIE is tearing them apart. The couple have been plagued by reports they are on the verge of splitting since the SHE’S ALL THAT star signed up to his new sitcom last year (05). A source tells the New York Daily News that, "Ever since he started that show Freddie things were over." They have reportedly been living apart in recent weeks. However, the couple’s representative LESLIE SLOANE ZELNICK has furiously denied the allegations, insisting the couple are still, "completely together." She adds they’ll be spending the weekend (24/25JUN06) together at Zelnick’s house in Connecticut. Michelle Gellar and Prinze Jr married in 2002.
