Fox is inhuman because they cancelled Almost Human
April 29th, 2014 under Fox. [ Comments: 3 ]

So Fox picked up the low-rated The Following and the even lower-rated Glee for another season, and yet they cancelled Almost Human. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will not be back for a second season.
I am just dumbfounded by their decision because this show was paired perfectly with Sleepy Hollow and did better than that Kevin Bacon show; and yet it won’t be returning and they will be. I don’t get it. It was a great show with brilliant writing, in fact it was one of the better ones that they air.
If I were J.J. Abrams, I would not do another show over at Fox. Except for Fringe, they seem to like to do 13 episodes and done. Which is not only cruel to him, it’s crueler to us because his shows build a core audience that want to see them back. I didn’t hear anyone scream I want a third season of The Following. But I did hear a lot of people who wanted a second one for Almost Human and Alcatraz.
I seriously don’t know what Fox is doing any more and I think it is time for much needed change. Starting at the top aka Kevin Reilly. If they cancel Dads, I am done with them except for any show starring Gordon Ramsay, anything animated, Bones and Sleepy Hollow.
When it comes to Warner Bros, please shop this show around because I would love to see more of it.

Grease is the word for Fox
April 28th, 2014 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

Fox announced today that they are doing an NBC, and broadcasting a live version of a popular Broadway musical. While NBC has gone with the G-Rated shows, The Sound of Music and Peter Pan, Fox is hoping to strike greased lightening with the racier, Grease. Not much more is known like when it will air in 2015 or who will star in it; and yet it has me and many others doing the Hand Jive!
My prediction is they will get Zac Efron and Hilary Duff to play the leads, but then again they could use American Idol hasbeens and/or out of work Glee stars. Who do you think should play Sandy, Danny and Rizzo?
Are you hopelessly devoted this production, do you think there are worse things they can do or is it leaving tears on your pillow?

I Wanna Marry Harry, but do you believe it is him?
April 16th, 2014 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

Fox released the first promo for I Wanna Marry Harry, and I can’t believe all those women actually thought he was Prince Harry. Maybe because I have seen so many pictures of him, I knew it wasn’t him.
But then again if I were on the show, I would totally believe it was him just because who doesn’t want to marry a Prince? Especially the future Prince of England if he can find a way to get rid of his brother and nephew.
Now when it comes to show, it looks like the perfect trash to get us through our summer. So I will be turning in on May 27th, will you be joining me?

Raising Hope ends it run with a sweet finale!
April 4th, 2014 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

After 4 funny seasons, Raising Hope says goodbye tonight at 9p on Fox and you don’t want to miss this sweet farewell.
Even though tonight’s episode at 9:30p was not originally supposed to be the series finale, it works very well as one. Virginia’s (Martha Plimpton) father (Jeffrey Tambor) is back in town and he wants to win his daughter back. So he makes a deal with her that if she plans his wedding, then he will pay for Hope’s college. So after they get their lawyer, Wally Phipps (Lou Wagner), to write up the contract, she starts to plan the perfect wedding for her dad. Only thing is, it really is so that Burt (Garret Dillahunt) and her can finally have the special day they have never had because they got married so young. So now she finally gets to walk down the aisle the way she has always wanted to with a wedding fit for a Princess; and it is beautifully done.
Tonight’s series finale makes me wish that Fox would’ve stayed with the sitcom because it is so perfect.
If you started off the week hating how How I Met Your Mother Ended, then you are going to end your on a positive note with the way that Raising Hope ends.
Thank you to the cast and crew of Raising Hope for four amazing and funny years of television.

Fox renewed 4 shows and none of them were Almost Human
March 7th, 2014 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

Fox picked up The Following, New Girl, The Mindy Project and Golden Globe winner Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and have yet to make a decision on Almost Human and Dads. The four shows that were renewed joined Glee, Bones and Sleepy Hollow for next season’s lineup.
Personally, I give up when it comes to decisions that the network executives make. I can’t say I agree with half of the shows that they renewed. New Girl has a following, but they haven’t been as loyal this year. Although they are much loyaler to that show than they are to The Mindy Project and The Following that saw major declines this season. When it comes to Brooklyn Nine-Nine, once it won the Golden Globe the renewal became a no-brainer.
Even though Fox has picked up 4 dramas and 3 comedies, they still have a lot of time to fill with the loss of The X Factor and Friday nights that have been begging for more Gordon Ramsay. I am hoping since the end of their week isn’t as set as the beginning and that they will pick up Almost Human that has been doing better than The Following both in the ratings and in creativity.
