Jesse Spencer said goodbye to Chicago Fire
October 21st, 2021 under Dick Wolf. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday was the 200th episode of Chicago Fire, and we said goodbye to Jesse Spencer. The actor, who has been with the show since day one, decided now was the perfect time to move on.

“I realized I’ve been doing TV for a long time,” Spencer said in a call with reporters. “I added it up and this year is my 18th year because I went straight from House to Chicago Fire. We were coming up to the 200th episode, and so I called [showrunner] Derek [Haas] and I broke the news that I’m leaving the show. He agreed that we should at least get Casey to the 200th episode. It was a difficult decision because I’ve loved this show from the start, but there’s other things that I would like to do in the future and family that I need to take care of.”

After ten years in Chicago, you can’t blame the Aussie native for wanting a change.

Is the last we will see of Matt Casey? He might pop in every now and again, like for Severide’s wedding to Kidd, according to Parade.

I am sad to see him go. But at least they didn’t kill him off. They let him do the noble thing and take care of his best friend’s minor sons.

Dun dun, Law & Order is back!
September 29th, 2021 under Dick Wolf. [ Comments: 1 ]

Eleven years ago, NBC murdered Law & Order. That was then. Today, they announced that they are resurrecting it for a 21st season.

Even though Dick Wolf has three FBI series on CBS, three Chicago dramas, and two Law & Orders currently on the air, he had this to say about this news, “There are very few things in life that are literally dreams come true. This is mine.”

If it wasn’t for Law & Order, I doubt those eight shows would be on the air. L&O gave birth to so many shows, so you can’t blame the flagship’s father for being so happy for his eldest child.

I am assuming this came about because NBC needed to fill the hole that was emptied because Wolf decided not to move with Law & Order: For the Defense.

If CBS could bring back CSI, then NBC can bring back Law & Order. It is like 2000 all over again.

On that note, when it comes to who will be back and when it will be back, we do not know. All of that will be revealed at a later date.

Dick Wolf’s FBI needs Chicago Med’s help
September 21st, 2021 under Dick Wolf. [ Comments: none ]

Dick Wolf Entertaintment has three shows on CBS and five over at NBC. Yesterday, one of the CBS shows asked an NBC one for help. What does FBI’s Alana de la Garza want from Chicago Med? She needs them to patch up James Chen’s papercut. Poor baby because those hurt a lot.

Now, let’s take a second and imagine what it would be like to have Special Agent in Charge Isobel Castille and FBI Technical Analyst Ian Lim leave NYC to go to Chicago for a crossover event. If Law & Order: SVU can do it, why can’t FBI?

I think it would be fun to see how the completely different Dick Wolf procedurals interact with each other. What do you think?

What is the correct lyric for the Law & Order theme song?
September 17th, 2021 under Dick Wolf. [ Comments: none ]

When you hear the Law & Order theme, do you go “chung chung” or “dun dun”? Today, Wolf Entertainment finally solved the crime for us. It is “dun dun.” Were you singing correctly?

Now that you know the truth, you can own merchandise with that word on it two times at the Wolf Entertainment shop.

When it comes to what I have been singing, I was completely wrong because I thought it was “dumb dumb,” who is the dumb dumb now?

Want to have a Chicago Fire character named after you?
July 19th, 2021 under Dick Wolf. [ Comments: none ]

Have you ever watched Chicago Fire and wished that there was someone named after you on the show? Well, now your dream can possibly come true. All you have to do is text your name with the hashtag #NameACharacter to (212) 380-1203 between now and August 2nd.

Five finalists will be chosen and receive a Wolf Entertainment Pack that includes a branded hat, hoodie, mask, and pin. The grand prize winner will win that, a signed script, and the chance to hear the name on the drama.

I would enter, but with my luck, the character with my name would wind up trying to start a fight with Cheif Bowden, get drunk at Molly’s, or try to kill Severide.

One Chicago will be back with all-new episodes starting on September 22nd.
