See how they rehearse for surgery scenes on Chicago Med
May 6th, 2021 under Dick Wolf. [ Comments: none ]

Have you ever watched a medical drama and wondered how they prep for surgery scenes? Well, now we know. Wolf Entertainment shared a behind-the-scenes video of Steven Weber and Yaya Da Costa rehearsing for their big moment on the NBC show yesterday.

How interesting is it to see that their dummy bleeds? That would freak me out, but for them, it is just a normal day.

Just what we need, another Dick Wolf show
May 3rd, 2021 under Dick Wolf. [ Comments: none ]

They say three is a charm, and it definitely is for Dick Wolf. Next season, he will have three Chicago shows, three FBI dramas, and today we found out there will be three Law & Orders.

Law & Order: For the Defense will join SVU and Organized Crime on NBC.

What is the latest procedural be about? Dick Wolf explained “This new show is exciting for me personally. We spent the last 30 years on shows that played offense. Now it will be great to play defense. And being able to do it with Carol [Mendelson (CSI)] is an honor and an opportunity for both of us to do television that hasn’t been done before.”

Since the show was ordered straight to series today, there are no cast announcements. I am sure every NY actor is going to audition for it because you are not an actor in NYC if you have not appeared on a Dick Wolf show. Even my dad appeared in at least two episodes.

That is a lot of Stablers and Bensons
April 8th, 2021 under Chris Meloni, Dick Wolf, Mandy Moore, Mariska Hargitay. [ Comments: none ]

Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni are once again paired up together, and they are enjoying being side by side. So much so they each got masks with their mugs on them. Therefore that is six Bensons and six Stables in one photo. Then if you include their Thursday night NBC procedurals Law & Order: SVU that airs at 9p and Law & Order: Organized Crime that starts at 10p, that is eight of them. Oy!

I have to admit, as much as I live this photo, Cagney & Lacey, aka Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly did it better.

Just what we need a third FBI series from Dick Wolf
March 24th, 2021 under CBS, Dick Wolf. [ Comments: none ]

Dick Wolf shows are like a Gremlin, you put one on the air, and they multiply. Currently, there are three Chicago and two Law & Order shows on NBC, and soon there will be three FBI series on CBS.

The network announced today that they not only picked up FBI and FBI: Most Wanted for another year, but they will be adding FBI: International to their lineup next season.

CBS describes this series as, “FBI: INTERNATIONAL follows the elite agents of the FBI’s International division as they travel the world with the mission of protecting Americans wherever they may be.”

I wonder if they will really travel the world or will be they be using green screen to represent other countries. I am thinking the latter.
