Elizabeth Gillies was back in LA this week to sing at Herb Alpert’s Vibrato Grill & Jazz, and some of her old high school friends came out to support her as she did her thing on Tuesday night.
Who was there to see her perform? They are her Hollywood Arts buddies, Danielle Monet and Matt Bennett.
They look as close as they did when they became classmates in 2010 on Victorious.
Hopefully, we will see Jade, Robbie, and most importantly Rex Powers on Trina’s new show on Netflix. Why wasn’t Rex there??? He is such a dummy for missing out on the reunion.
Did you know that Drake & Josh and Victorious filmed on the same soundstage in Hollywood? Well, they did! And last week Drake Bell and Victoria Justice snuck onto the Nickelodeon on Sunset lot, and were able to enter their old stomping grounds.
What did Drake Parker and Tori Vega do? They gave a live online tour, showed fans where things were, and reminisced about their good times on the shows.
But they did more. The actor shared a video in which he lip-synced the lyrics to the D&J theme song, I Found a Way, while she danced around him. Then, when they were done, she did with Make It Shine, but without him! This is what the Schneider’s Bakery Universe fans wanted, but we didn’t know that we did until we saw them do it.
Seriously, seeing them together really makes me want them to do Drake & Tori! Forget the Trina Vega spinoff coming to Netflix, I need this to happen!
Now that Paramount is under new management, they are passing on Nickelodeon’s biggest spinoffs to Netflix. Well, at least that is the case with the Victorious spinoff, Hollywood Arts, about Tori’s older sister, Trina.
In this all-new series, struggling actress Trina Vega (Daniella Monet) returns to her former high school, Hollywood Arts, as an unqualified substitute teacher, quickly finding herself both clashing with and unexpectedly inspiring a new generation of ambitious and talented students as they learn to find their true path at Hollywood’s most elite performing arts school.
Daniella Monet said, “Coming back as Trina alongside such a dynamic, powerful cast of newcomers (Alyssa Miles, Emmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson, Erika Swayze, and Martin Kamm) is something I feel very lucky and grateful to do. I would be more excited for this series if Dan Schneider were involved because none of the spinoff movies or TV shows have been as close to good since he is no longer part of them.
Miranda Cosgrove was on Today yesterday to talk about her hit Netflix movie The Wrong Paris. However, they also wanted to know if her past is going to coincide with her future.
What does that mean? There are rumors that there is an iCarly movie in the works. So, is there? The actress says that there is a script and they are expecting to begin filming early next year.
I would be more excited if Dan Schneider were involved because none of the reboots or standalone films have not been as good without him.
