The first three Terrifiers movies have been a huge success, so it seemed like it was given that Terrifer 4 was going to happen.
Today, Damien Leone, the clown behind the movies, gave an update on the film. “The script for Terrifier 4 is in the works and it’s shaping up to be a most epic, thrilling, nasty, horrifying, emotional and utterly satisfying conclusion,” he wrote. “P.s., I will finally reveal Art’s origin ”
I didn’t realize until this tweet that we never got Art the Clown’s origin story. So, I am curious to see how he became such a sick fuck.
On that note. Am I the only Horror fan who hates the Terrfier franchise? They are overly violent for no reason. The violence of one of Art’s murders is equivalent to all the murders in more Horror films.
Leone said this is the final film. But then again, how many franchises have said a film is its final one, and then they release a new one?
I grew up watching Horror movies, so I am a big fan of them. However, I hate the Terrifier franchise. I think that Damien Leone makes his films overly gory to see how sick he can make audiences. And it works because people keep walking out of them to throw up.
With each sequel, he makes them more bloody. So, France put a rare ban on Terrifer 3. They will not allow anyone under 18 to see in theaters.
The film’s French distributors told Bloody Disgusting, “We can only deplore this unexpected final decision, which will seriously hamper the release of the film, awaited by tens of thousands of French viewers and scheduled for October 9 (and of course maintained). Terrifier 3 is a film d’auteur in the purest tradition of the slasher genre, with perfectly “grand-guignolesque” and unrealistic violence. The film never takes itself too seriously, and we know that viewers will have the necessary distance and maturity to understand and appreciate this artistic approach.”
The last film to get this honor in that country was Saw 3 in 2006. Another Horror franchise, I think, sucks.
Today, we got a preview of Terrifier 3, and it is going to be a Christmas movie.
Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) is set to unleash another round of chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.
As someone who loves Season Killings movies, this is not on my list of films I want to see. I love Horror, but I hate the Terrifire franchise.
Do you like them? Are you going to see it when it comes out on October 11th?
I feel like I am one of the few Horror fans who despises The Terrifier franchise. The first movie had one good kill, and the second one was gory to be gory. It was a sick Torture Porn film just to be disgusting.
And, of course, they got a third movie, and that film is going to be Christmas-themed. In the first scene, which was shown as a teaser in movie theaters, we see that Art the Clown is dressed up as Santa Claus, and it looks like he chops up a kid with an axe.
A scene that writer/director Damien Leone tells JoBlo will be controversial. And then he adds that “that is not even the big kill scene.”
And with that, I am out. Granted, I was already out.
I know there is an audience for his films. It is just not me. And I don’t feel bad for all the people who go to see it in October and get sick watching it. You know what you are in for, so you have no one to blame but yourself.
