Just when you thought our televisions would be a little less musical without of Glee, here comes Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. The musical comedy debuts at 8p tonight at on The CW and it’s crazy good!
Back in 2005, Rebecca (Rachel Bloom) dated Josh Chan (Vincent Rodriguez III) at summer camp, but their love ended when their parents came to pick them up.
Now 10 years later, she is a successful lawyer in NYC who is about to be made partner. Only problem is that she isn’t sure she wants it. When she is outside contemplating her future, she see Josh Chan. The two of them reconnect in a special way, but he is moving back to West Covina, Ca.
She decides to quit her job and move to West Covina, but it is not because of Josh Chan.
As soon as she gets settled, she takes a job there as a lawyer. Paula (Donna Lynne Champlin) is her paralegal and she doesn’t trust Rebecca.
Now that she has an apartment and a job, she decides it is time to find Josh Chan. Instead she finds his friend Greg (Santino Fontana) and he falls for her. She doesn’t feel the same way, but he is her way to find Josh Chan.

Then at 9p, Jane the Virgin is back. The episode starts off where the season finale ended. We find out what happened to Mateo and how Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) can get their baby back. How long will this plotline last? What would be the fun in telling you?
Elsewhere on the show, her mother, Xo (Andrea Navedo), and father, Rogelio de la Vega (Jaime Camil), have not told anyone they are married. Petra (Yael Grobglas) is deciding what to do with the last of her ex-husband’s sperm. And then there’s Michael (Brett Dier) who continues to remain the nice guy.
I know I am not telling you much, but there are so many surprises during the season premiere, I want you to enjoy them just like I did.
I will tell you one thing, the show is just as enjoyable as it was last year. Not that many sophomore shows can say that and this one of the rare few.
