Craig Ferguson inadvertently made fun of me
December 18th, 2009 under Craig Ferguson. [ Comments: 2 ]

(starts at 5:03 in)

Yesterday on the Late Late Show when Craig Ferguson was reading e-mails he inadvertently made fun of me and really hurt my feelings. Craig got an e-mail from Romeoville and said that it sounds like a movie Leonardo DiCaprio and then he went in to a rant that described me to a T. He said, “Wasn’t that a movie with Leonardo DiCaprio? Romeoville? It wasn’t, but it sounds like could be true, didn’t it? Did you see him in Romeoville? Oh he was awesome. He was so great. That was before Titanic, when nobody else knew about him. I knew about him and I loved him, but nobody else knew about him. Then after Titanic everyone loved him, but I didn’t like him by then. I only like things when other people don’t know about them and then when they know about them, I don’t like them. Why is that? Because I am an internet douche.” You know, I really liked Leo on Growing Pains and in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and then when he did Titanic and got all popular, I was over him because everyone else liked him. And that is my theory with a lot of things. So basically Craig summed me up in that rant and the truth hurts and I am in a lot pain right now. I might have to give up his show because he really hurt my feelings.

UPDATE: I decided to watch the rest of the show through my uncontrollable sobbing and his ending made me laugh so hard all is forgiven…for now…

Craig Ferguson’s musical 1,000th Late Late Show episode!!!
December 16th, 2009 under Craig Ferguson. [ Comments: 1 ]

(The bottom video is from I Knowwww!)

Yesterday was Craig Ferguson’s 1,000th episode as host of The Late Late Show and he had a very musical episode. Well I say it was his 1,000th episode hosting, but really it was Wavy the most popular puppet on the show who took over for the night. Wavy did such a good job, I am afraid he might take over for Craig for the next 1,000 episodes. He was definitely a charmer with the ladies on the show. He totally got to make out with Maria Bello as seen below.
But the night wasn’t only about Wavy getting his croc on with the ladies, it was about the musical numbers. The show opened up Wavy and the crew singing and dancing to Trace Adkin’s Honky Tonk Badonkadonk and ended with them all doing James Taylor’s You’ve Got A Friend. Both numbers were just such classics and great representations of what Craig Ferguson has done with the Late Late Show in the first 1,000 episodes he has had with the show. The show also featured Jason Segel and his puppet Dracula with the band Broken West doing a memorable song from Forgetting Sarah Marshall. After listening to him sing, I can’t wait for the How I Met Your Mother’s 100th episode…that is a musical one!
All in all the 1,000th episode of The Late Late Show was a very special one and even though I am a Johnny-Come-Lately that started in around episode 700, I can’t wait to enjoy the next 1,000 at least. If Craig can hold out that long…
Don’t forget to check out episode 1,001 tonight on CBS at 12:37a when he will have on Bob Barker, the man that destroyed his old set. I wonder how he will top that appearance!!!

Diane Kruger calls Joshua Jackson during his interview on Craig Ferguson
December 15th, 2009 under Craig Ferguson. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday on the 999th episode of The Late Late Show, Craig Ferguson interviewed Joshua Jackson. Joshua was talking about “his better half” Diane Kruger when I guess her ears were ringing so she decided to ring him (7:44 in) in the middle of his interview. Craig not wanting to miss an opportunity decided to talk to Diane and told her now she finally has to do the show because she phoned her boyfriend in the middle of his interview. No word yet if and/or when Diane will be on the show, but since her multi-nominated director from Inglourious Basterds Quentin Tarantino will be on on Monday to promote their movie being out on DVD today maybe she will join him??? Hopefully Joshua will call in when she is being interviewed by Craig, now that would be perfect!
BTW the phone call and that whole interview wasn’t the only hilarious part of the show. Craig Ferguson also talked about his horrific traveling experience from over the weekend getting back from Nashville to LA. Only Craig could turn a life experience we have all gone through and make it so funny. I wonder how many free miles he got from Delta and Continental for mentioning them on the show. Although Continental might put him on the no-fly list after that.
Finally don’t put Craig on your no-fly list and watch his 1,000th episode on CBS tonight at 12:37a!

The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson turns 1,000
December 15th, 2009 under Craig Ferguson. [ Comments: 1 ]

After 999 episodes on CBS, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson turns 1,000 tonight at 12:37a!!! The show that brought us hilarious gag interviews with Betty White and Henry Winkler, one of a kind interviews, opening musical numbers with puppets and an intern in a leather get up and most importantly the proudest new American Craig Ferguson as a late night host is celebrating a big milestone tonight and it is so richly deserved. In honor of the special occasion Wavy the puppet will the host the show with special guests Kristen Bell, Maria Bello and Jason Schwartzman. But it doesn’t stop there, there will be a very special musical performance by Jason Segel with his puppet Dracula (“Forgetting Sarah Marshall”) and his band The Broken West.
Whether you have watched some or all of the 999 previous episodes or tonight will be your first, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson is show you will want to see go for another 1,000 episodes. Maybe by then CBS will put some money into the show and fix the leaky roof!
BTW here are some of my favorite moments from the first 1,000 episodes!
