CBS cancels CSI: Cyber and Supergirl, but…
May 12th, 2016 under CBS, The CW. [ Comments: none ]

CBS picked up Life in Pieces yesterday (for some stupid reason because it’s heinous), and today they cancelled CSI: Cyber and Supergirl. But before you get too upset, Supergirl is flying over to The CW for its second season.
The expensive show is going to have its budget cut. According to Deadline, they will be move production from LA to Vancouver. I am sure this is only one of the many budget cutting changes ahead for the show. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some casting changes to help lower the budget.
I don’t know where The CW is going to put it because they picked up all of their shows except for Containment, which they just cancelled. On that note, today they also picked up three pilots to series Riverdale, Frequency and No Tomorrow. For a network that only has 10 hours of programming, I don’t know how they are going to fit in 15 hours of scripted television. That should be fun a job for the bosses to figure out.

UPDATE:
NBC picked up Chicago Justice, while ABC cancelled Nashville and Agent Carter. The news wasn’t all bad at ABC, they picked up The Real O’Neals, The Catch and American Crime.

CBS picks up 11 more shows for next season!
March 25th, 2016 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

CBS announced today that NCIS: LA and NCIS: NoLA will be back on their lineup in fall along with NCIS. Those three shows and The Big Bang Theory will be joined by Scorpion, Survivor, Mom, 2 Broke Girls, Elementary, Amazing Race, Hawaii Five-0, Blue Bloods and Madam Secretary.
What’s missing from the renewals, all the new shows Supergirl, Limitless, Code Black, Life in Pieces and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders. On that note, Criminal Minds is also missing, as is the last CSI show from the franchise, CSI: Cyber. The only reality show not on there is Undercover Boss and I hope that makes it back because it is an important show for CEOs to watch.
There are four other shows that were not mentioned today and they were already cancelled. They are Mike & Molly, Person of Interest, The Good Wife and Angel From Hell.
Granted there’s also no mention of Rush Hour and The Odd Couple, but they have yet to air this season. I am rooting for both to get picked up.
What do you think of the lucky 13 shows that will be back on CBS next season?

CBS finally shows some interest for Person of Interest
March 16th, 2016 under CBS. [ Comments: 4 ]

After months of waiting to find when Person of Interest would be back on CBS with all new episodes, fans finally got an answer today. The show returns on May 3rd and ends its 5 year run on June 21st.
This wasn’t CBS’s only news, they also announced the season finales for all of their shows.
You can put the dates in the calendar; but their schedule is so confusing, I am just letting my DVR do all of the work.

NCIS won’t be going anywhere for at least two more years
February 29th, 2016 under CBS, NCIS. [ Comments: none ]

NCIS is in its 13th season and it is still the #1 drama and #1 scripted show on television in America and the world. So what I am about to tell you, should not surprise you. CBS picked it up for two more seasons today. As soon as the show’s lead Mark Harmon signed on the dotted line, so did they. Which you can’t blame them, can you?
What about the show’s two spinoffs NCIS: LA and NCIS: NoLA? We don’t know yet, but I am sure at least one if not both will be back.

Unforgettable cancelled for a third time
February 16th, 2016 under A&E, CBS. [ Comments: none ]

Not many shows can say they were cancelled not once, not twice, but three times. Today, Unforgettable gets that strange and awful honor.
After its first season, CBS announced that they cancelled the show about a cop who remembers everything. Then a few weeks later, they picked it up for another season and moved it to summer. After two seasons of airing in the summer, they pulled the plug on the drama again.
Then a few months later, A&E announced they picked it up for a fourth season. Now that show aired all of its episodes for this season, Deadline reports it cancelled once again.
Since this is a Sony show, I really hope they pick up for a 5th season. I want to know if Al lives. Don’t you hate when a show ends on a cliffhanger and then gets cancelled?
