Back in November, Carrie Underwood fell down some steps outside her house in Nashville and now the American Idol is telling her fans that her injuries were much more serious than we thought. We knew she broke her wrist, but she also scratched up her face really bad. So bad, she was rushed into surgery and got 40-50 stitches on her face.
Over the weekend, she gave her fans this update, “Here we are 7 weeks later and, even though I’ve had the best people helping me, I’m still healing and not quite looking the same.” Adding, “I honestly don’t know how things are going to end up but I do know this: I am grateful. I am grateful that it wasn’t much, much, worse. And I am grateful for the people in my life that have been there every step of the way. I’ve still got a ways to go in the recovery process, but it’s encouraging to see every day be a little better than the last.”
While she admits she is not ready to go in front of the camera, she is ready to go behind the mic. In other words, she is returning to the studio next week to record some new music.
No matter how she looks, we are still going to love her. Yes, she is beautiful on the outside but she is even more gorgeous on the inside. We did not just fall in love with her for her face on Idol, we also fell in love with her heavenly voice and warm personality. That is why she has been asked to host so many shows.
Get better soon Carrie, and know we are here for you scars and all. Let Jesus take the wheel and do his magic.

Days after killing it at the CMAs, Carrie Underwood nearly killed herself by falling down some stairs outside of her house on Friday. Luckily, she is just battered and bruised with a broken wrist and she will be OK after “some time” according to People.
She reassured her fans on Twitter by saying, “I’ll be alright…might just take some time…glad I’ve got the best hubby in the world to take care of me.” Mike Fisher, was out of town at the time, but flew home to be with his wife.
She is the second American Idol alum to have fallen down some stairs in the last month, so I say to the other ones be careful when you take the steps. The first one was Simon Cowell on September 27th and he is doing better after a low blood pressure diagnosis.

We know that Carrie Underwood likes to let Jesus take the wheel, but yesterday she let James Corden do it when she took a ride with him to do Carpool Karoake on The Late Late Show.
Since the CBS late night host is new to the United States, Country Music is new to him. He asked the American Idol winner to take him shopping, so that he can look like a Country star. He put on some snake skin boots, a Cowboy hat and a leather vest. Then he asked the salesgirl how much it all cost, and he hit notes that only Carrie can hit. The shoes are $800, the hat is $200 and the vest is $2,000. $3,000 for all of that? I’d rather be a Rocker where you can get a whole new look for 1% of that! Rock on!
And that is exactly what they did when they got back in the car to see who could hold a note longer. Poor Carrie lost that fight, but the hills will always be alive with her even though they let her down in that car.
One note I forgot to mention is that I love when she admitted that she finds it hot when her husband, Mike Fisher, knocks out another player’s tooth during a hockey fight. I am totally down with her on that. It is totally hot! It’s the only reason to watch hockey!
Lastly, am I the only person who wants Underwood to release an album of all Wham! covers?

Carrie Underwood shared a video of herself with her 8 month old son, Isaiah, giving her kisses and how can you not love the American Idol more than we already do. Seriously, isn’t this just the most precious thing you have seen all day? Just awwwwwdorable.
