Rapper Busta Ryhmes was busted again. This time, he’s charged with beating up one of his drivers. Rhymes, 34, turned himself in Wednesday night and was booked on a misdemeanor assault charge at a Manhattan police station. Wearing a red, long-sleeved shirt and jeans, Rymes was led out of the station late Wednesday. He’s due in court in lower Manhattan Thursday. The rap star, whose real name is Trevor Smith, was charged with assaulting one of his limo drivers in a dispute over 19 days of pay the driver says he was owed. The man told police that Rhymes had punched and kicked him numerous times in a confrontation outside a lower Manhattan building on Dec. 26. This is the latest legal problem for the rapper. Last August, Rhymes was charged with assaulting a man who spit on his car after a Randall’s Island concert. Police have also sought to question Rhymes as a potential witness in the shooting death of his bodyguard, Israel Ramirez, last February — a case that’s still unsolved.

Why do all these celebs think they can get away without paying people. I am proud of that limo driver for actually going to the police.

Busta Rhymes rapped his way into a ticket last night when cops caught him yakking on his cellphone while driving, police said. The superstar recording artist was spotted on the phone as he cruised past the Midtown North police station on W. 54th St. about 7p.m., cops said. The 34-year-old rapper, whose real name is Trevor Smith, has had other brushes with the law. He was notoriously uncooperative with investigators after his bodyguard, Israel Ramirez, 29, was gunned down in Brooklyn during the video shoot for Rhymes’ "Touch It (Remix)" last February. Then, in August, Rhymes was charged with assault for allegedly pummeling a Bronx man who spat on the rapper’s auto in Chelsea.

The teenager allegedly attacked by rapper Busta Rhymes has claimed the star kicked him in the face.Roberto Lebron, 19, said the trouble started after he accidentally spat on Rhymes’ luxury car as he rode up Manhattan’s Sixth Avenue with his entourage. The rapper, who has been charged with third-degree assault over the accusations, then allegedly confronted him.Lebron told the New York Post that Rhymes asked him: "Homie, did you just spit on my car?""I said, ‘Sorry, I didn’t mean to’," the teenager continued."I said, ‘We’re big fans of yours’. And that’s the last thing I said."Then one of his people hit me in the face, and I fell to the ground."Then, Lebron claimed, Rhymes joined in. "While I was on the ground, he was kicking me in the face," he told the New York Daily News. "I saw him kick me."Lebron claimed he was just spitting in the street at around 4am when Rhymes’ Maybach happened to drive by.Police arrested Rhymes on Saturday night after his performance at the AmsterJam Music Festival on Randalls Island. He was arraigned on Sunday and is due back in court on October 24.

Bet you a K-Fed penny he will serve more time for spitting on the ground than Busta will for beating him up

Rap star Busta Rhymes was being grilled by cops last night about the unsolved murder of his bodyguard after being busted for assaulting a man at a Randalls Island concert, a police source said.Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor Smith, was arrested at about 8 p.m. as he and his entourage tried to flee the East River island. At least two members of Rhymes’ crew were also taken into custody.Cops said Rhymes, 34, was being investigated for assaulting a concert-goer identified as Roberto Lebron, who may have spat on Rhymes’ car after the rapper’s 5 p.m. performance at the Heineken AmsterJam Festival that also featured Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, LL Cool J and the Foo Fighters.A police source said Rhymes tried to bolt off the island after getting a tip he was about to be arrested. Cops quickly headed him off at the pass at about 8 p.m., the source said. The rapper and actor was questioned for a few hours last night at the 13th Precinct stationhouse on E. 21st St. near Second Ave. before leaving with his entourage.Details of the assault were sketchy. But the incident offered detectives a golden opportunity to interview Rhymes about the Feb. 5 slaying of his bodyguard, Israel Ramirez, a source said."I don’t know if this is normally something he would even be arrested for," said a police source. "But his bouncer was killed and he didn’t want to cooperate. "This is our way of dealing with it." Ramirez, 29, the father of three sons, was gunned down during a video shoot of Rhymes’ "Touch It (Remix)" at a recording studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The victim’s family and Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly have criticized Rhymes for refusing to cooperate with detectives investigating the shooting. Police believe Rhymes has been stonewalling them because he’s adhering to the rap industry’s "stop-snitching" mantra.

I still don’t understnd why he did not cooperate with the cops in the first place. The bodyguard risked his life for Busta and what did Busta do for him?
