Will Britney Spears ‘ New Year’s Eve meltdown cost her $400,000? Sources say Pure nightclub in Las Vegas wants to nix her almost half-million dollar appearance fee, after she violated the contract. "Britney failed to spend the agreed amount of time in the club, because she had to be helped out after collapsing," alleges a close source. The tipster also says the club is "furious" with her because of her PR spin that she merely fell asleep — implying the place is boring. Britney’s rep dismissed the story. A club mouthpiece insisted her remuneration was "less than half" of $400,000 and that she wasn’t penalized for leaving early. "Britney had a great time," said the spokeswoman. "We love her and can’t wait for her to come back." But an insider familiar with the club says: "The moment a celebrity gets into one of those deals they are on the clock. They are watched to the minute, and they are not allowed to leave early. It’s a contractual obligation." You’d think the club would be more disappointed if Britney came to the party and didn’t pass out.

KEVIN FEDERLINE has reached a temporary agreement for custody of his two children with BRITNEY SPEARS; newborn JAYDEN JAMES and their one-year-old son, SEAN PRESTON. In court papers obtained by ET, the aspiring rapper is allowed visitation Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12-4 p.m. at Britney’s residence. The paperwork does not detail any custody arrangements after the month of January.

Dear Fans,

It has been a while since I’ve addressed you personally here on my official website. The last couple of years have been quite a ride for me, the media has criticized my every move and printed a skewed perception of who I really am as a human being. Behind every decision I have made in my public life there always seems to be an apparent contradiction. I have come to terms with that which is why I usually don’t pay much attention to it.

The last couple of years have been very enlightening for me and now that I’ve had the time to be "me," I’ve been able to sit down and think about where I want to go with myself as an entertainer with absolutely no strings attached. I am now more mature and feel like I am finally "free." I’ve been working so hard on this new album and I can’t wait for you all to hear it and to go on tour again! I would like to exclusively tell you that I am working hard to release the new album sometime later this year, but the date is of course not certain yet. I look forward to coming back this year bigger and better than ever, and to also reaching out to my fans on a more personal level. I noticed today that one of my biggest fansites is shutting down soon and I want you all to know that I do understand all the reasons that went behind making that decision, and I am sad to see it closing. If I were you I’d be unhappy too if I had to read what I’ve been reading every day. But trust me, I get it. I know I’ve been far from perfect and the media has had a lot of fun exaggerating my every move, but I want you all to know that I love my fans so much, and I appreciate everything you have done for me, so Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

You so know she didn’t write this because "you all" is two words. But you have to give credit to her people for trying to save what is left of her career.

Britney Spears was tricked by Paris Hilton into thinking she had jeopardised her chances of ever having an orgasm again. While the two 25-year-olds were partying at Los Angeles club Area the ‘Toxic’ singer lit the filter end of her cigarette which flared up as she inhaled. Paris then apparently told her it would damage her ability to climax. A source revealed to the National Enquirer magazine: "Paris told Britney, ‘Oh my God! Don’t you know that lighting a cigarette the wrong way and inhaling stops the blood flow to your private parts, and doing it more than once means you may never experience orgasm again!’ "Britney was horrified and ran around for about ten minutes asking everyone if they had ever heard that and what she should do about it." Finally Paris stopped giggling and told Britney it was a joke, saying: "I had you going, didn’t I?" The ‘Baby One More Time’ singer slapped her friend on the arm and they then had a play fight.
