And finally, there’s Kevin Federline’s Playing With Fire, which debuted on last week’s chart at #151 with sales of 6,500. Fed-Ex’s inaugural entrée into hip-hop failed to chart its second week out, selling a mere 1,200 copies.

Britney and K-Fed’s marriage ended over a letter?
November 15th, 2006 under Britney Spears/KFed. [ Comments: none ]

New information on the final days of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s marriage shows that Spears, 24, laid out her plans to drop Federline and resuscitate her career during the week before she filed for divorce on November 7. However, it was a handwritten letter from Federline that finally pushed the pop star over the edge, causing her to end the two-year union for good. On November 6, after a week of fighting via text message, Federline, 28, sent a handwritten letter to his wife, who was staying at a separate hotel in NYC. “It mostly blamed Britney for all their problems,” a family insider says of the letter. Hours later, enraged, she notified her attorney to start drafting the divorce petition and signed it at the hotel just before making a surprise appearance on CBSs Late Show With David Letterman – minus her wedding ring. “That’s why she looked so happy,” says the source. “A weight had been lifted.”

K-Fed needs to stick to writing rap songs and nothing else. Oh wait that is not working out for him either.

Britney called Madonna to tell her about the divorce
November 14th, 2006 under Britney Spears/KFed, Madonna. [ Comments: none ]

For those of us who believe Britney Spears’ divorce and her career comeback go hand-in-hand, here’s an interesting morsel. Before the news of Brit’s divorce filing hit on Nov. 7, she placed a phone call that had been on her mind for months, reaching out to her estranged friend and former mentor, Madonna, an insider tells Life & Style. But there was one small problem: Britney no longer had the Material Mom’s phone number — she changes her phone number frequently and shares it with a very tight, hand-picked circle of friends that Brit wasn’t included in. So Britney called the New York office of Madonna’s publicist, Liz Rosenberg, says the insider. “She just called and said, ‘Can you tell Madonna I called to let her know I filed for divorce?” the insider says. The person who answered the phone expressed sorrow about the divorce, but Britney responded politely in an even tone: “Thank you, but she’ll be thrilled. I wanted to let her know before it hit, but I didn’t have her number in London and wasn’t sure how to reach her if she was in New York.” Britney then left her number for Madonna to return her call, which Madge seemed eager to do once she received the message. When an employee in Madonna’s office reached Madge and gave her Britney’s phone number, Madonna said, “Great. I have this number. This is good news.”

K-Fed will get less than a million?
November 10th, 2006 under Britney Spears/KFed. [ Comments: none ]

K-Forget about the millions. A source close to the family reveals to Access Hollywood that under their prenuptial agreement, which the source termed "iron-clad," Kevin Federline will receive "under a million dollars." And while Federline indicated that he will seek custody of their sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, the source said, "It’ll be a joke if he fought [for] custody. He never did that with the other kids [he had with Shar Jackson]." In another bombshell revelation to Access Hollywood, the source said that Federline has "only spent four days with the baby [Jayden] since it was born." Hinting at among the reasons for the break-up and Federline’s flimsy claim for custody, the source said he used the excuse that he was busy working, "but he didn’t come home after(wards)." The source says the two have not been in contact, but that the two little boys are presently with Spears. "She loves those children." It was a "tough decision," filing for divorce, said the source, noting, however, that "it was a long time in the coming. It was inevitable." The source futher felt Britney "made a bad choice," but she’s "learned from her mistake" and "pressing forward." "It’s sad," added the source, "but she’s doing well." The source also said that the Spears family "tried to make him part of the family," loved Federline because he was married to Spears, and have now "prayed for his well-being," but they fully support her decision. As for the future, Spears is "focused on her babies and her career." And for guidance, she’s returning to her old manager, Larry Rudolph. The source believed that Federline had already "been out of the house." But don’t count on Spears returning immediately to their Malibu spread. "She’s not real comfortable going home."

That million will barely cover his debt?
