Everyone,

Thanks for your many letters of concern about the recent changes in my life as well as your understanding of my need for privacy over the next few weeks.

Although it would usually be more of a challenge to find some peace during this time, your positive wishes have helped.

Our parting of ways is amicable and we remain friends who care about and love each other.        

I sincerely appreciate all those who have supported me and Lance as a couple over the past year.  I would appreciate, just as well, your wishing us each, as individuals, the very best going forward.

Australian pop star Kylie Minogue has separated from her boyfriend, French singer and actor Olivier Martinez, the couple has said in a statement. "Olivier Martinez and Kylie Minogue have officially confirmed that they are no longer a couple," the pair said in a joint statement published by Britain’s domestic Press Association news agency. "They have made it clear that the decision to go their separate ways was mutual and amicable. "The media’s false accusations of disloyalty have saddened them both. The two remain very close friends."

With all they have been through with her cancer, I thought they would last forever.

Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz have finally confirmed the rumors of their breakup. They issued the following joint statement on Thursday: "It has always been our preference not to comment on the status of our relationship, but, out of respect for the time we’ve spent together, we feel compelled to do so now, in light of recent speculation and the number of inaccurate stories that are being reported by the media. We have, in fact, ended our romantic relationship and have done so mutually and as friends, with continued love and respect for one another." Diaz, 34, and Timberlake, 25, began dating in 2003 after meeting at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards. They called it quits just before the new year, with one source pinpointing the pair’s split to have taken place between their lovey-dovey December 16 night on the set of Saturday Night Live and Timberlake’s Christmas Day trip to visit Diaz in Vail, Colorado. However, you can see the former couple together again (in cartoon form anyway) when they costar in the upcoming animated sequel, Shrek the Third.

Actress Drew Barrymore may be on the cover of the latest Harper’s Bazaar gushing about her boyfriend of five years, Fabrizio Moretti, 26, but Us Weekly has learned that the 31-year-old actress has ended her relationship with the Strokes drummer. “Drew said they needed time off,” a source close to the actress tells Us. Confirms a Moretti pal, “Fab is now living back in his old apartment.” The pair – who hooked up in April 2002 – seemed a good match on the surface, friends say. “Drew has always had a taste for subculture,” Barrymore pal Courtney Love tells Us. But they had suffered some rocky times. Tongues wagged when she skipped the February 2005 nuptials of Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas; months later, the duo got in a public tiff in Santa Monica, California. In fact, “she broke up with him twice before this,” says a Barrymore insider. At issue? Clashing personalities. “He’s younger, and she’s more worldly,” says a source of Barrymore. “He doesn’t like the Hollywood stuff. He doesn’t get her friends.” But don’t count them out just yet, adds the source. “This is exactly what happened last time they took a break.” After all, Barrymore couldn’t say enough about her man in the interview with February’s Bazaar. “Right now I’m in a phase of ‘I’m not even your girlfriend. I’m your best friend who is madly in love with you,’” she bubbled to the mag. “The longest I’ve ever been with someone was like two to three years, so I’m in uncharted waters. Right now I’m more into championing him as a human being than gushing love for him.” Maybe the actress will take her own advice and revamp their love life. “You need to reinvent your relationship if you want to continue being together,” she opined in the article.

Spanish businessman Javier Rigau has called off his engagement to Italian screen legend Gina Lollobrigida, who is 34 years his senior, Spanish magazine hola.com said. Lollobrigida, 79, and Rigau, 45, had been planning a January wedding in Rome, but the ceremony was called off amid continued pressure from the media and problems organizing the event, Hola said, citing sources close to the couple and a statement from Rigau’s lawyer, Javier Saavedra. Saavedra could not be contacted during a national holiday in Spain and Lollobrigida was not immediately available for comment at her home in Rome. In the statement, Rigau said he would "always love and respect" his former fiance, Hola said.
