Who didn’t see this coming a mile away???

Beyoncé Knowles’ father Mathew is furious the superstar was overlooked at the Golden Globe Awards, accusing the film industry of discriminating against blacks. The singer-turned-actress failed to pick up a single nomination for her role in Dreamgirls, and – despite Golden Globe wins for African-Americans Forest Whitaker, Eddie Murphy, Prince, Jennifer Hudson and the movie itself – Knowles blames his daughter’s omission on racism. He told reporters after the ceremony on Monday, "Today is MLK’s (Martin Luther King’s) birthday and it saddens me to say that things have not changed for blacks. Working class blacks and blacks in Hollywood are still being discriminated against. We still have a long way to go."

Seriously? OMG! My friend and I were joking last week how he would say Hollywood is racist because she did not get an Oscar nom even though Jennifer Hudson, Eddie Murphy and Dreamgirls will. It is not racism, she just wasn’t good enough.

Britney Spears’ fashion faux pas
February 19th, 2007 under Beyoncé. [ Comments: 1 ]

First off that dress is a size too small, at least. Second those shoes make her legs chunkier than they already are and don’t go with the dress. Third what does that purse go with? Fourth the earrings, necklace and bracelets don’t match. Fifth as much as I want to bash her for her bra showing, I won’t because at least she is wearing one. I think that is it for now unless you can think of anything?

Beyonce’ making her dancers pay their own way?
February 19th, 2007 under Beyoncé. [ Comments: none ]

BEYONCÉ, one of the highest-paid women in show business, doesn’t seem to have much sympathy for those still struggling to see their names in lights, according to our spies. Now that the superstar is wrapping up her "Dreamgirls" tour, she plans to start promoting her latest album, "B-Day," in Los Angeles. Insiders dished to Page Six that the megabucks star is forcing her back-up dancers to pay for their own flights from New York to L.A. for rehearsals for upcoming tours and videos. Our source added that the struggling performers were asked to "work this week for a measly $400 per video." The insider also said that Beyoncé’s dancers wouldn’t put up a fight about it for fear they would lose their gigs. "They were told that they couldn’t call their agents and that if they didn’t agree, they would not be hired," according to our source. Reps for Beyoncé did not return multiple calls from Page Six.

Page Six

If true, that is some major FUS. All the dancers out there should stand up to her and dad and say no way, Beyonce’.

WTF Beyonce got the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition
February 19th, 2007 under Beyoncé. [ Comments: none ]

Another high note for Beyonce — the coveted cover shot of this year’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. The singer and now movie star (“Dreamgirls”) posed on a Florida beach in a yellow-and-pink bikini by House of Dereon, the fashion label she started with her mother, Tina Knowles. There’s also a photo spread inside. “The Dreamgirl As You’ve Never Seen Her,” a cover
headline teases. The 2007 swimsuit edition continues with a music them inside, featuring scantily-clad models posing with Kanye West, Aerosmith, Kenny Chesney, Gnarls Barkley and Panic! At the Disco for the camera of lensman Steve Erle.

That is such BS. That belongs to a Super Model and not her. Seriously when did Sport Illustrated become Rolling Stone? The swimsuit issue is about sports, not music. Call me a tradionalist, but everything about the above this swimsuir issue is so f’ing wrong. I bet you this will be the lowest selling SI swimsuit issue of all time. And to top it off it is a horrible picture of her.
I am sure models and agencies are giving SI and earful, don’t you think?

Beyonce’ might go without any Oscar nom?
January 2nd, 2007 under Beyoncé, Dreamgirls, Oscars. [ Comments: none ]

You can not only forget about Beyonce Knowles winning an Oscar for best actress this year. Now it looks like Beyonce won’t win as a songwriter either — for "Listen," one of the original new tunes added to the original Broadway score. Officially, she’s listed as one of the song’s four writers, but the motion-picture academy only permits three names — max — as a credit. To see the specific language of its Rule 16 — CLICK HERE! The Oscars’ songwriting branch has decided to qualify Henry Krieger, Anne Preven and Scott Cutler. No explanation is given for why Beyonce is excluded over the others. Is this just one of those cases of where the singer insisted upon having her name added to credits as part of her performance deal? Beyonce says "No!" In media interviews, she’s often said that she was truly involved in its songwriting. Apparently, not to the extent as her three collaborators.

G-d I would hate to be her people and the movie people right now because you know her dad is ripping them a new one.
