I sincerely think she felt so awful about what she said. No one in their wildest dreams though that Anna Nicole Smith was going to die yesterday.  

Anna Nicole Smith’s death became even more bizarre than her life yesterday as a series of bombshell revelations uncovered an ever-growing web of sexual intrigue – including the startling claim that her late billionaire husband may be the father of her infant daughter. The stunning disclosure comes in a no-holds-barred manuscript written by her half-sister Donna Hogan obtained exclusively by the Daily News. Hogan alleges that her sister froze the sperm of 90-year-old J. Howard Marshall years ago, and believes she may have used it to become pregnant. The revelation topped even the unseemly paternity suit that raged in a Los Angeles court less than 24 hours after Smith’s death. The former Playmate’s live-in companion and her former boyfriend Larry Birkhead both claim they are the father of baby Dannielynn – the little girl who could inherit up to half of Marshall’s $1.6 billion fortune. They weren’t the only ones laying claim to Dannielynn yesterday. Smith’s mother, Vergie Arthur, flew to the Bahamas yesterday to see her grandchild for the first time. The infant had been left with friends in the Bahamas. And amid all the legal maneuvering, Zsa Zsa Gabor’s wacky husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, made the bizarre claim that he fathered Smith’s daughter. A publicist for Gabor, 90, said von Anhalt was full of it. But even the battle to be named the father of Dannielynn was overshadowed by the claims in Donna Hogan’s unpublished manuscript. In the aptly named "Train Wreck" – written with author Stacy Brown – Hogan says: "I wouldn’t be shocked at all if it’s J. Howard’s. She saved his sperm after all and that maybe [sic] her trump card in her fight to get the old man’s estate." Depicting her half-sister as ever calculating, Hogan wrote that Smith was "seeing into the future. … She takes Howard in to have his sperm tested. When the results show that he is still fertile, she has a quantity of his sperm frozen." Hogan wrote that when her half-sister announced to the world she was pregnant, she declined to name the father. "To her family, she hinted that she had used the old man’s frozen sperm, and would be giving birth to Howard Marshall’s child," the manuscript claims. Later in the book while discussing the paternity fight, Hogan unleashed one of her many scathing descriptions of her half-sister. "That’s my sister for you. That b—h probably doesn’t even know who the father is. Soon she’ll probably say it’s J. Howard’s," Hogan wrote. Hogan could not be reached for comment yesterday, but in an interview with "Inside Edition" she said, "I don’t want people to talk about the crazy stuff. … I want them to remember her for being full of life."

If this is true, that was a smart way to get the money from her late husband. I just hope Dannielynn gets a father soon, so she can have a chance in this world of normalcy.

Anna Nicole Smith’s 5-month-old daughter Dannielynn Hope is now in the care of her companion Howard K. Stern’s mother and sister in the Bahamas, PEOPLE has learned. Meanwhile, Stern, who is listed on Dannielynn’s birth certificate as her father, is in Florida, where police earlier Friday said that there was no evidence that a crime had occurred in Smith’s death. "Of course he wants to be with her," says Smith lawyer Ron Rale of Stern and Dannielynn, "but I don’t know exactly when he will get there." Also in the Bahamas Friday: Anna Nicole’s mother, Virgie Arthur, who was spotted at police headquarters in Nassau, TV’s Extra reported. (Earlier Friday, Arthur told ABC’s Good Morning America that she blamed drugs for her daughter’s death.) Arthur went to the Bahamas to locate Dannielynn because she "feared for her granddaughter’s safety," the Nassau Guardian newspaper reported. Arthur went to the Ministry of Social Services to seek help in gaining protective custody of the child, but they were unable to assist her and she left in tears after a 45-minute meeting, the Guardian reports. Arthur ultimately ended up at police headquarters and met briefly with Reginald Ferguson, assistant commissioner of the Royal Bahamian Police. "I don’t know what her expectations were, but I had to advise her to seek legal counsel to find out what course of action she can take," Ferguson told the Associated Press. (Ferguson said Arthur was traveling by limousine and was trailed by camera crews.) Dannielynn was not with her mother, Anna Nicole Smith, when Smith died Thursday in Florida. Sources had said was in the Bahamas, where she was born, in the care of the mother of Shane Gibson, a high-ranking Bahamian official and close friend of Smith’s.

I don’t know the law, but sadly I think his family has the right to be with her because Howard K Stern is listed as her father on the birth certificate. I just still don’t understand how a mother who just lost the son that she loved 5 months ago would leave her 5 month old baby behind. You would think she would never leave her out of her site? But then again what has been normal about this whole thing in the first place?

The next time I was supposed to see HOWARD K. STERN was at his wedding to ANNA NICOLE SMITH in two weeks — a celebration. Instead, I find myself with him sharing one of the darkest moments of his life. On our flight from Florida — where Anna still lies in a cold medical examiner’s office — to the Bahamas, our thoughts are on Anna and little baby DANNIELYNN, who we are rushing to see for the first time since her mother’s sudden and shocking death on Thursday. Howard, in tears, at times unable to speak, shares with me that his daughter is the light helping him go on. As the plane lifts above the clouds, Howard thinks of those his precious Anna Nicole left behind. In a voice barely heard above the din of the jet engines he tells me, "I want her friends to pray that Anna Nicole is safe, happy and with Daniel." It was hard to leave Anna’s body behind, but he had to get back to his baby girl. Others are already traveling to the Bahamas with an eye on Dannielynn. One of them is VIRGIE ARTHUR, Anna’s biological mother, who she detested. Anna told me in October, "She’s not my mother, she’s my birth mother." She is not a welcome guest. Howard begins to bristle at the mention of her name. He says, "As long as I have a breath in my body, that woman will not see Dannielynn." I ask about Virgie’s quest to assume custody of the five-month-old baby, who takes Howard’s last name on her birth certificate. After all, Howard is the only father she’s ever known. He answers, not as an attorney, but as a protective parent. "She has no right. She can’t take my baby. She can’t take Anna’s baby." After the plane touches down in the Bahamas, watching Howard hold Dannielynn for the first time since her mother’s death is heart-wrenching. With tears rolling down his face he reveals the depth of his pain: "I wouldn’t be here now, but I had to get back to Dannielynn. I held her in my arms and couldn’t believe her mom is gone. I know Anna loved her more than anything in the world."

Boy did ET strike gold by continuing to interview Anna Nicole Smith.  I bet they never thought they would strike gold like this when they agreed to interview her in the first place.

 

MSNBC’s Rita Cosby reports that Anna Nicole may have had recent breast surgery to repair one of her implants. Cosby also reports the former Playmate had also been prescribed over 10 different types of pain medication, and may have been taking excessive amounts because she developed a tolerance to the effects. In addition, Cosby’s sources tell her that Anna Nicole was found by a member of her staff — unresponsive and nude in her bed, with a sheet pulled over her face. Death from cosmetic plastic surgeries occurs in one out of 57,000 cases, per the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Two million plastic surgeries were performed in the United States in 2005. Adverse reactions to surgery could become serious; there are numerous documented cases of seizures, heart attacks and high fevers leading to death. Recent published research shows that inflammation caused by common respiratory and urinary tract infections like bronchitis, pneumonia and cystitis, may contribute to in increased risk of heart attack and stroke, and the greatest risk is in the earliest stages of infection. If Anna did have a recent cosmetic procedure, and she exhibited "flu like symptoms" over the last few days, it’s quite possible that the star died of a massive infection, perhaps complicated by an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.

When the coroner was asked on Friday if she had recent plastic surgery, at first he said yes and they backtracked and so no she did not. It will be interesting to see what he says in 3-5 weeks when the toxicology report comes back.
