Great Ace Young MySpace post
August 5th, 2006 under American Idol 1-5. [ Comments: none ]

Hello everyone,

It’s been a pretty amazing few weeks…I met the President! How crazy is that?! All ten Idols hung out in the oval office for about 30 minutes as he talked with us about "the power of the people". I know that’s true, I wouldn’t have this opportunity if it weren’t for all of you…I have the best fans in the world!

About me being sick, it is true that a week ago I was performing with a fever…I was shaking with a 102 degree fever as I walked on stage in Bridgeport CT…I had Chris watch my performance and he couldn’t even tell I was sick. That made me feel a little better. The fever has passed and now I’m stronger then ever!

I love all the wonderful gifts!!! The hats, T-Shirts, jewelry, post cards, pictures, stuffed animals, candy, belt buckles, etc…and my favorite, the letters! I carry big binders full of the letters that you send me so I can read them anywhere at anytime…they always put a smile on my face.

The hometown performances have been outstanding! We’ve covered Elliot, Chris, Bucky, Kellie, and one of Paris’s and I loved seeing them overwhelmed by their hometown support. We’re getting closer and closer to DN! I’ve already heard that it’s going to be nuts…I can’t wait!

About the radio yesterday…I need to just say one more time that I HAVE THE BEST FANS IN THE WORLD!!! We were on the tour buses traveling from Duluth GA. and I was going to just call in on my cell from the bus. But for that whole hour no one had cell service. I tried calling in on everyone’s phone and none of them would go through. Later Ryan told me that the radio station said some low blows on the air and within 5 minutes they had over 500 emails from all of you sticking up for me. You all never cease to amaze me…thank you. Now, I’ll be on that radio station monday morning sticking up for all of you ;-)

Tonight we get to rock out in Sunrise FL. It’s going to be a great day.

Much Love,

ACE

Another Chris Daughrty MySpace post
August 4th, 2006 under American Idol 1-5. [ Comments: none ]

Whats up y’all. Got the day off in Fl. and once again, not a day off. I’m writing w/ someone I’ve been wanting to write w/ for a while. I’ll keep his name out of it for now. By the way someone showed me a post on idolforums.com that said Absent Element will NOT be my band and my cousin is trying out as my drummer….I have no clue where that info came from, but SO far from the truth. They WILL audition to be my band. It’s crazy how people the wrong information from people who think they know what’s going on. Anywho, things are awesome and I’ve gotta go for now. Love y’all and God bless.-Chris

You have to love this guy for keeping his fans in the loop via MySpace. Ace and him are the only ones that are using their MySpace accounts!

Clay Aiken A Thousand Different Ways
August 3rd, 2006 under American Idol 1-5. [ Comments: none ]

The long wait for Clay Aiken fans is over. RCA Records will release the singer’s third album, “A Thousand Different Ways” on September 19th. The project, Aiken’s first outing since 2004, combines 10 cover versions of well-known songs from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s with four brand-new songs.

The album is a follow-up to Aiken’s debut set, “Measure of a Man,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard album chart and is certified triple-platinum, as well as the platinum-selling “Merry Christmas with Love,” the best-selling holiday album of the 2004 season.

For Aiken, the new album’s title has multiple meanings. “This is an album of love songs,” he explains, “but they are about all different kinds of love. Romantic love, Friendship, Unconditional love. There are a thousand different kinds of love; a thousand different ways to tell someone you love them. And, on top of that, since so many of these songs are covers, it’s realistic to say that many of them have been or could be sung a thousand different ways.” Aiken credits Chairman CEO BMG U.S., Clive Davis for coming up with the concept for the album.“When we first embarked on making an album, my executive producer Jaymes Foster and I started out with one or two covers, then we had three. We slowly discovered that it’s harder these days to come by songs that are as superb as the songs that I grew up on. Based on that, it was Clive’s brainchild that we take classic love songs of the last 30 years and pair them with four new songs. He is a man who not only knows music, but really has his finger on the pulse of what listeners want to hear.” Those who have come to expect Aiken to belt out a song won’t be disappointed. The album shows off Aiken’s vocals in a big way with songs like the Bad English hit “When I See You Smile” and Harry Nillsson’s “Without You.” But Aiken will surprise fans by singing in a more relaxed style on some tracks than they have heard before, showing a different, sexier side.

Now poor McPriss broke her foot
August 3rd, 2006 under American Idol 1-5. [ Comments: none ]

After being sidelined for three weeks with bronchitis and laryngitis, American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee stumbled backstage Tuesday on the "American Idol" national tour, fracturing her left foot, the New York Post reports.  McPhee, who joined the tour on July 28 after missing the first few weeks because her doctor ordered her not to talk or sing, tripped backstage before a show at the Bobcats Arena in Charlotte, N.C., the paper said. The 22-year-old trooper went on with her set anyway, according to the Post, singing two songs with slippers on. She was later taken to a hospital for X-rays which showed a hairline fracture. "She’s in discomfort, but she’s fine," a rep told the Post. "She will continue on the tour and is not defaulting." When the California native failed to join the tour on time a few weeks ago rumors swirled that the singer thought she was too good for "Idol" or that she’d had a bulimia relapse. She denied both.

I am officially sick of her woo is me. Bitch just sing and stop injuring yourself because you are not getting any sympathy from me.
