Adam Sandler to guest on King of Queens |
February 19th, 2007 under Adam Sandler, CBS. [ Comments: none ]

A little birdie with ties to the soon-to-conclude sitcom tells me that Adam Sandler taped a guest appearance last night for an episode slated to air in April. The erstwhile Billy Madison plays a goofy high-school chum of Kevin James’. The two reconnect at their class reunion, but there’s a twist: Sandler’s character, the ex-class clown, is now the school’s vice principal! How’d producers pull off such a casting coup? Reps for the show declined to comment, but it’s a safe bet that Sandler did it as a favor to James, his costar in the upcoming gay-buddy comedy I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Just a hunch. Queens, meanwhile, returns to CBS’ sked Apr. 9 with the first of the series’ seven final episodes.

WTF Jessica Biel and Adam Sandler? |
July 31st, 2006 under Adam Sandler, Movies. [ Comments: none ]

Jessica Biel is following in the footsteps of actresses like Kate Beckinsale, Winona Ryder, Drew Barrymore and Emily Watson as those who’ve played the love interest to Adam Sandler. Biel has signed on to star as the female lead in I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK AND LARRY with Sandler and Kevin James. In the film, which was written by Academy Award winner Alexander Payne (SIDEWAYS), Sandler and James play firefighters who pose as gay lovers in order to get couples benefits. Biel will play the lawyer who represents the pair in court and ultimately falls for Sandler’s character theoretically jeopardizing their scheme. Dennis Dugan stepped into direct after WEDDING CRASHERS director David Dobkin dropped out due to creative issues. Biel, perhaps looking to stray as far away from projects like STEALTH as humanly possible, has a number of indie/dramatic projects on the way including THE ILLUSIONIST (of which USA Today says her role was not "well-cast") and the war drama HOME OF THE BRAVE with Samuel L. Jackson and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. I just typed 50 Cent in quotes, which just about makes me as out-of-touch as humanly possible.

Adam Sandler are you a moron? |

He’s on the verge of turning 40 and became a father for the first time when his wife, Jackie, gave birth to their daughter, Sadie, last month. But Adam Sandler assures fans he’s still a moron.
"I like being a moron," Sandler said. "My father called me a moron. My grandfather said I was a moron. A lot of times when I’m driving, I hear I’m a moron."
Sandler, who was a "Saturday Night Live" cast member in the early 1990s, stars in the new movie "Click" as a workaholic who ends up with a universal remote control that allows him to fast-forward and rewind to different parts of his life.
The actor said he can relate to the film’s message to spend more time with family and less time at work.
"Looking back at the past 10 years of my life, I’ve been at work more than I’ve been at home, so I connected with this movie," he told reporters recently, according to AP Radio. "And when I watched the playback the other day, I went home. I was excited to get home and do the right thing, be with the family."

I want to see CLICK just for this! |
June 19th, 2006 under Adam Sandler, Henry Winkler. [ Comments: none ]

HENRY WINKLER experienced a flash-back while filming his latest movie CLICK, as he was made-up to resemble his iconic character FONZIE. The 60-year-old star had to age from 24 to 86 during the movie and make-up artists made him up to resemble his character ARTHUR FONZERELLI from the hit 1970s show HAPPY DAYS for his younger scenes. He explains, "They used the picture that was the first picture that ABC took for publicity in Malibu and I brought that to the makeup artist. "For the 24-year-old they used seven pieces of surgical tape and pulled my face to the north. "And then for the 86-year-old, I had 12 pieces of rubber that for five and half hours they pasted on my face."
