Billboard changed its rules today about allowing albums to be able to chart on the Billboard 200 if the albums were only sold by one retailer.
In consultation with Nielsen SoundScan, Billboard will now allow exclusive album titles that are only available through one retailer to appear on The Billboard 200 and other charts, effective with this week's charts. Prior to this, proprietary titles were not eligible to appear on most Billboard charts.
Saying that The Eagles who released their first studio album in 28 years (the same amount years of Brintey and her two boys put together have lived) outsold Brintey by 711,000 to 290,000. That has got to hurt. Believe it or not Britney did worse that I thought, I thought she would sell at least 300,000 guess I was wrong.
I would love to be there when Jive tells her she placed behind The Eagles, you know she is going to say "Who are The Eagles?" Britney they are the band that have the number one selling album of all time in The US and you ironically are only number 28 on that chart!!!
Thanks D!
