I don’t know about you, but I was raised on the films from the Friday the 13th franchise. It might be why I never wanted to go to sleepaway camp in New Jersey every summer that my parents tried to get me to go. Now that I am older, you still could not get me there even though I laughed my way throughout those movies.
While that is me, other people are more daring to go the camp where Friday the 13th was filmed almost 40 years ago. In fact, there is a tour group that offers tours of the site and on April 13th they are trying something different. They are offering up an overnight stay to the highest bidders.
What does that get you? According to Crystal Lake Tours you get a the tour of the camp, have an amazing dinner in our historic dining hall and take part in a first overnight stay in their log cabins. If you survive Jason Vorhees, then you get to eat breakfast with Adrienne King, who played Alice in the first two films.
Not brave enough to sleep in the woods with a serial killer who wears a hockey mask, then they are offering up three other tours on the 13th and 14th of April. If you go to one of the two 9a tours, then it is $135. But if you dare to go to the one that starts at 3p, then it is $175.
I say let them go, I will be home watching the movies with the air conditioner on and no mosquitoes or serial killers in sight. I like my blood in my body!
