Anthony LaPaglia was injured filming a scene for Balibo in Darwin, Australia according to
Courier Mail. LaPaglia was injured when a machine used to fake a gunshot discharged into his arm by accident.
The accident happened during filming of the scene where LaPaglia's character, Roger East, is shot and killed. The source said filming at Darwin's Stokes Hill Wharf was stopped while LaPaglia was given medical attention.
Rather than exploding outwards, giving the appearance of a gunshot, the device, called a "squib", exploded into the star's arm. LaPaglia was taken to hospital for treatment.
The director told the paper it was a "tiny thing".
My question is what is he doing over in Australia filming a movie, shouldn't he be in LA filming Without A Trace?
UPDATE: The incident happened back in July according to
The Daily Telegraph and the director added, "It was only a scratch," he said. "It didn't stop us from working."
