, Al Roker announced that he has an aggressive form of prostate cancer, and he is getting surgery to fight it. Today, he gave his fans an update on his condition.
“Relieved to let you all know that my #prostatecancer surgery is done and back home,” Roker wrote. “A big shoutout to everyone at the #josierobertsonsurgerycenter and so appreciate all the thoughts and wishes from our viewers and the wonderful care packages from my co-workers. Hope to see you all soon.”
The meteorologist said that he was expecting to take two weeks off from Today to deal with it. He did not say if that is still the plan.
I hope he has a speedy recovery and he is cancer-free.
