Tonight on Hallmark Channel at 9p, the feel good movie You Lucky Dog premieres. The movie is about Lisa, a NYC fashion designer who returns to the small town she grew up in after her mother dies. Her father and her brother have been working on the farm that is struggling to stay afloat. Her brother has decided that they need to add sheep to their farm to earn more money and when you get sheep you need a dog to herd them. Lisa adopts a boarder collie that one of the farmer’s gave up for adoption because he thought she wasn’t a good herder. Lisa thinks she can make Lucky a good herder and starts training her. Little by little Lucky becomes a good herder, but the true test will come one day when a fire threatens several young kids and their leader who were doing a nature hike before the fires started. Lisa sends Lucky into the woods to rescue the missing kids and their leader. Miraculously she saves everyone but suffers a serious injury. Will Lucky survive her injury? Will Lisa switch from fashion to the farm life? What is Lucky’s connection to her family?
