I love New Amsterdam because it throws a straight arrow. It doesn’t do BS stunts like other medical shows. That was until last year’s season finale when several characters were involved in an ambulance crash and one of them died. We did not find out until the fall who it was.
Anyways, that was then. This year almost every shows’ season was cut short because of Coronavirus, including the NBC drama. Tonight, they will be airing their final filmed episode of the season at 9p. However, there was another episode that was completed this year. That one was about a pandemic, and the producers and the networks thought it was too close to home to air. It will air later on.
Now that we got that out of the way, tonight we meet a new character on the show. Dr. Cassian Shin (Daniel Dae Kim) joins the team as the head trauma surgeon. His methods are much different than Sharpe’s (Freema Agyeman) and the two of them butt heads. Will they be able to work together?
Max (Ryan Eggold) meets a boy and his parents and he knows something is wrong with the child, They do some tests and the boy has an incurable disease that will take his life before he is 30. There are some trials being done and Max will try to get him into one. Will he be able to charm his way into one like everything else he does?
Dr. Bloom’s (Janet Montgomery) ER is crashing, as in all of the patients keep crashing. She needs to figure out why before she loses a patient.
Dr. Kapoor (Anupam Kher) wishes he could lose a patient’s wife. That is because she keeps hitting on him. How will he handle the attention?
Tonight’s episode is a perfect ending for a perfect season. I will miss having new episodes until the show comes backs at some time.
