Back in 1987,
The Simpsons aired as shorts as part of the Tracey Ullman Show. On December 17, 1989, Fox gave the animated show its first full episode for Christmas. The rest is history. As in it is in the history books for having the most episodes of a scripted series with no end in sight.
Tonight at 8p, Fox takes us back to the beginning and will air that very first full episode. The characters might not age, but their voices and the animation has gotten so much better. It is great to see and hear how different they look and sound. The one thing that never changed is how funny this show is. Which is why it is on its 30th season and counting.
Therefore, you don’t want to miss tonight’s episode where we get to meet The Simpsons and they get to meet Santa’s Little Helper.
