The Good Place is back with an hour-long episode on NBC tonight at 10p and it picks up with our favorite humans just having been rebooted in the bad place thinking they are really in the good place.

Elanor (Kristen Bell) once again is told by Michael (Ted Danson) that she is dead and is given a tour of the town and gets to meet her hot soul mate. She is not the only one with new soul mate, so are Chidi Anagonye (William Jackson Harper), Tahani Al-Jamil (Jameela Jamil) and Jianyu Li (Manny Jacinto); and their new companions are keeping the four of them apart. What happens when Janet (D’Arcy Carden) gives Elanor the note the recently departed left in her mouth to find Chidi? First she has to figure out what the fork a Chidi is in order to find him.

While the four of them are reliving their first day in the good place, Michael’s demons are learning what their roles are in it. Some are happier than others and most of them just want to torture the humans. Will they get their wish? Will the four figure out once again that they are in bad place? Since I want to go to the good place, I cannot tell you.

What I can tell you is that I think that Ted Danson was born to play this part. He is so good at being a demon, you will actually think he was sent from below. That and after watching the first 3 episodes for season 2, I am happy to report that it is not suffering the sophomore slump. In fact, it is a whole lot stronger. Especially since there is a lot more Janet this season and Carden steals the show with every scene she is in. You can honestly tell this cast is having a blast working on this darling sitcom.

The Good Place might take place in Hell, but it is Heaven sent. Therefore watch it tonight at 10p and then starting next week every Thursday at 8:30p.
