When we think of Jon Hamm, we think of him as the clean cut Don Draper. Well that and something else. Anyways before he was the most famous of the Mad Men, he was a struggling actor who needed other means of making money to survive. Yesterday, he told Willie Geist on Sunday Today, one of the exciting ways he earned a living for a short while. Like most young actors, he was working as a bartender when his friend told about a job he had just had to quit at the time. The guy told Hamm he was working as a “set dresser on like cheesy like Skinemax movies” and he could not do it anymore. Hamm being the man that he is, was like “I’ll do it.” He was like if it pays anything he will do it. Even though he did not anything about being a set dresser, he was willing to do it for a $100 a day. How long did stay doing? A total of three weeks. Why? He said, “It was bad…and depressing.”
I guess be careful what you want because you might just get it. Although, I wish they would have known then, what we know now because then he would have been a much different type of actor. One that would make me want to see all of his movies until the DVD was worn out. If you know what I mean. Granted, David Duchovny came out of that genre OK, Hamm could have done the same.
