Scott Weiland died in his sleep on his tour bus in Minnesota tonight according to his Instagram.
The 48 year old singer was best known for leading Stone Temple Pilots and singing their biggest hits like Plush and Vasoline. When they split up he became a member of the supergroup Velvet Revolver with some bandmates from Guns N’ Roses. Most recently he was singing with The Wildabouts and it was this tour that would wind up being his last.
As well known as he was for his music, he was also as well known for his drug addiction. But today, let’s not remember him for the latter, let’s remember him for his music and blast some of his tunes.
He leaves behind a wife, and a son and a daughter from his second wife.
