In yet more stupid movie news, Footloose is being remade into a musical according to Variety. They also say that the new script is being written specifically for Zac Efron who was in the High School Musicals and Hairspray which is OK I guess. The only good news that came from the story is it does not look like the movie will be based on the Broadway musical like The Producers and Hairspray. I saw the play and it was just alright. No word if Kenny Loggins will be working on the music for the movie, but I think they should have him do it because he did such magic with the first movie's music. What I really want is that Hollywood would cut loose and stop remaking their childhoods and come up with something new.
