Even since
NBC announced their 2013-2014 primetime schedule, it has been a little confusing if The Celebrity Apprentice will be back for another season. Well yesterday at the NBC TCA summer press day Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, gave an update on the situation. He said, “In a celebrity iteration of The Apprentice, we obviously need to know that we can cast the show. That’s the bit of the process we’re in, which is the restocking of the celebrity pond is how I describe it. That can take some time. So no imminent plans for an announcement.”
So even though Donald Trump said on a conference call at the end of the All-Star season that they were casting for next season, sounds like they hit a major road block. I am surprised that they are having a hard time filling the boardroom because of the celebrity reality competition shows, this one seems like a good one to do.
