Cloris Leachman has been invited to N.Y. by Mel Brooks for a table reading of the B’way -bound "Young Frankenstein–The Musical." Mel directs the book which he and "Producers" partner Tom Meehan have written. Mel is again witing the tunes and Susan Stroman will again direct. Cloris would play the role of "Frau Blucher" which she made famous in Brooks’ 1974 classic "Young Frankenstein" movie which co-starred Gene Wilder, Peter Boyle, Marty Feldman, Madeline Kahn, Teri Garr and Mel. Cloris is currently Germanic-accented again in "Beerfest" as Great Gam Gam. Cloris also teamed with Mel Brooks in "High Anxiety" and "The History of The World, Part I."
