I give The Class airs on CBS on Mondays at 8p a solid B!
What I love about this show is that it has that old sitcom feel to it! And just for that I will watch this show to support a genre that sadly dying out.
I have seen the first two episodes and I have to admit it is growing on me. I also have to admit there is way too much overacting on this show and everyone is a character. This leads me back to feeling of a sitcom from the late 70s and throughout the 80s. I can’t remember if Lizzy Caplan was this annoying on Related, but her hair and facial reactions need to be toned down ASAP. Sean Maguire looks and hotness are being wasted on this show with glasses and nerdy preppy clothing. Seriously if they want ratings relax his attire. I have to admit I am disappointed in Jason’s Ritter acting so far, but I think we will see more of he amazing acting abilities as the weeks go on. The one actor I think has nailed it is Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who plays a down on his luck nerd. There are way to many gay jokes that over the top, that I feel will be toned as the show goes. It is a joke that is funny for a few episodes, but if they think they can the joke running throughout the season they will not last that long.
I am not sure if this show will get a full season pick-up because King of Queens is ready to take their slot at a moments notice. In fact I thought this show would be the first once cancelled without seeing it. I now think that honor will go to Men in Tress next week after Numbers destroys it on Friday. What I can say is that as long as this show is on, my DVR will be recording it!
BTW saw the season premiere of How I Met Your Mother and it is just as good as it was last year! Tomorrow I will review Jericho for you! Something I will not write for you while I am at work!
