Yesterday at the The CW TCA Press Tour Day they brought out some of their most Bad-Ass actors to talk to the press and we learned that they are always what they play. Kris Polaha (Ringer), Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie), Jared Padalecki (Supernatural), Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl), Joseph Morgan (The Vampire Diaries) and Shane West (Nikita) all proved to us that they are Bad-Ass on TV, but I know for one struggled with them in-person personas being that too and not that is not a bad thing.

Kris Polaha wasn’t fully convinced he was Bad-Ass, but he thinks that show Ringer is totally that. He told us, “Ringer seems like one of those shows that it almost demands you to watch it live because there’s so many little twists and turns that, if you miss it, you kind of fall behind. So it was just fun to be a part of that.” But when he is not working on the show he is home being a good dad to his millions of kids. At least that is how many Padalecki says that he has.

Wilson Bethel was declared the most Bad-Ass guy of the bunch because in every episode he takes off his shirt and shows us how he watches his shirts on washboard abs. OK I added the last part, but you know I just thought that was a poetic way of describing it. And did you know that he writes poetry? Since he didn’t want to ruin his Bad-Ass cred, he shared with us how he does it, “I only write poetry while I’m riding my motorcycle.” He get to keep the title, don’t you agree?

Jared Padalecki told us he enjoyed playing a soulless and emotionless Sam Winchester on Supernatural, but there is something that he has a lot of heart and soul about. The Supernatural actor has something very natural happening to him in a little over a month, he is going to be a dad. He described to us how he feels about it by saying, “I’m very excited. I hope it doesn’t bleed over into my work because I have a boyish excitement about it. I’m almost worried I was just mentioning it earlier. I’m almost worried about how excited I am. I feel like I should be nervous because I’m bringing a life that I’m going to be half responsible for sometime in March. But I’m just so kind of chomping at the bits to get my hands in there and raise a child that I right now I’m just like an excited little boy.” Yeah if you weren’t in love with him before that quote, I am sure you are now.

Joseph Morgan shared what he likes about playing the Bad-Ass Klaus on The Vampire Diaries, he said “Yeah, no, for me it’s the sociopathic nature of the character, for sure, the idea that you can be in a room with him and you never know what he’s going to do. I said it before, he could kiss you or kill you, and it’s all the same to him. There’s no clear line. It’s all completely blurred. So it all means the same. That’s really where the danger comes from. That’s the interesting thing for me as an actor playing that, is from one moment to the next he can completely switch moods and emotions and not be aware that he’s done it or not be aware that that is anything abnormal, you know. That’s really the part that fascinates me.” And someone who fascinates him as a Bad-Ass is Gordon Ramsey. Once he openly admitted to that all the other boys on the panel revoked his Bad-Ass card.

Shane West feels that his show Nikita is more Bad-Ass than him as he told us, “Well, Nikita is based around that. I mean, the entire show is bad ass basically. It’s based off of that action, that being able to fire the guns, being able to I’m not going to be adding up all the bad asses, by the way. No more bad asses, I swear. The guns, the cars, the action, the stunts. It’s like, you know, being a kid again. Bad ass.”

You can watch each on of these Bad-Asses every week on The CW. Mondays at 8p you have Ed Westwick on Gossip Girl and then at 9p you get to see a shirtless Wilson Bethel on Hart of Dixie. Then on Tuesdays at 9p Kris Polaha keeps his shirt on in Ringer. Thursday nights we sink our teeth into Joseph Morgan in The Vampire Diaries at 8p. We end the week with Shane West kicking it at 8p on Nikita followed by Jared Padalecki doing what he does best on Supernatural at 9p. So you don’t have to be one of them to be a Bad-Ass, you just have to watch them to get that title.
