SIR Paul McCartney has phoned Heather Mills’s personal trainer – to ask him if they are having an affair. Ben Amigoni was stunned to get a call from Sir Paul and denied anything was going on with Heather, 38. He even invited Ben, 22, who has been snapped on long bike rides with his estranged wife, to his home for a chat. Advertisement A source said: "Ben got a phone call out of the blue. He couldn’t believe that Sir Paul was bothering to ring him, let alone what he was asking him. "Sir Paul said if Ben wasn’t comfortable talking on the phone, he could come to his Peasmarsh estate for a chat. "Ben denied there was anything going on and felt a bit embarrassed about the whole thing. He didn’t make any arrangements to meet as he felt he didn’t need to." Ben has helped Heather battle back to fitness after an operation on her leg which is fitted with an artificial limb. He ditched his long-term love before accompanying Heather, who split with Sir Paul in May, to America on Adopt-A-Minefield charity business earlier this month. But friends say Sir Paul, 64, who has a two-year-old daughter Bea with Heather, was reassured by their little chat. A source said: "Paul is pretty relaxed about the whole thing and doesn’t believe anything is going on. "He knows that Heather needs to work closely with her personal trainer to keep the muscles in her leg strong. "But if he suspected something more serious was going, it would be a totally different story." A spokesman for Sir Paul yesterday declined to comment. But Heather, who may have been wearing her heart on her sleeve when she was spotted at Heathrow recently wearing a top which said Love Kills Slowly, sent out a new message yesterday. She wore a jacket with Dedicated to the One I Love embroidered on the back on a cycle ride near her home in Hove, East Sussex.
