Screen legend Jane Russell passed away today at the age of 89 according to KCOY. She was known for her roles in movies like Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Gentlemen Marry Brunettes and The Outlaw, but the younger generations will remember her from the Playtex ads. What you might not know about her is she founded Women’s Adoption International Fund (WAIF) which “is responsible for placing over 40,000 hard to place children in permanent homes.” She is leaving behind an amazing legacy both in front and behind the cameras.
