After months of (me) waiting, ABC has finally announced a premiere date for my favorite new sitcom of this season. Starting on February 9th, Matthew Perry’s Mr Sunshine will begin airing after Modern Family at 930p. And since ABC can only air one sitcom from a former-Friends cast member, Cougar Town will be off the air until April 13th. That same night at 10p, Happy Endings will make its debut.
Mr Sunshine is more like Studio 60 than Friends, and I hope having said that that people will still tune in. There were a lot of funny smart moments in the pilot and I hope that people enjoy and get the jokes. I think it is a great fit with the Emmy winning Modern Family, but I am biased because I love the show.
