ABC announced today that it picked up Grey’s Anatomy for a 23rd season, even though it has been on life support for many, many seasons. You pick whose death was the final nail in the coffin for you, and you stopped watching. I stopped watching so long ago that I honestly don’t remember whose death got me to stop watching. But I don’t miss it.
While the show’s ratings are down dramatically, it still does very well on streaming. So more episodes means more money! Well, for the studio at least. Production sees less money, so there will probably be more cast cuts than just Kevin McKidd and Kim Raver, who we found out last week will be leaving the medical drama at the end of the season.
Do you wish they would pull the plug on it, or are you happy it gets another year without flatlining?
