Troma has finally made it! Kevin Bacon is one of the stars of their Toxic Avenger remake, which stars Peter Dinklage as the title role!
When a downtrodden janitor, Winston Gooze, is exposed to a catastrophic toxic accident, he’s transformed into a new kind of hero: The Toxic Avenger. Now, Toxie must rise from outcast to savior, taking on ruthless corporate overlords and corrupt forces who threaten his son, his friends, and his community. And it looks like this delayed remake is bringing the movie studio into the 21st century with fun, gore, and special effects. Normally, I would say that is a bad thing. But with the genius that comes from Lloyd Kaufman, that is a great thing. Nothing toxic here!
Which is why it is awesome that it is being released unrated on August 29th! They can be as outrageous as they want to be, and I am sure they will be.
