[ # ] Here is the trailer for Rust
March 26th, 2025 under Alec Baldwin

If Rust were any other Western movie, it would’ve gone straight to streaming. However, it is not.

It is known as the movie where Alec Baldwin accidentally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set as they were prepping for a scene in October 2021.

At that moment, the film should’ve been shelved permanently. Instead, the hubris of the people in charge decided to finish the film and plan on releasing it on May 2nd.

Today, they released the trailer, and it contains numerous troubling moments.

One guy says, “Gd bless the wicked.” I would say it is the wicked who are releasing Rust.

Another one says, “They continue to pay my bills.” I think it is greed which is why.

Then you hear Baldwin say, “Some things in this life you can’t give back, I reckon.” I reckon like, Hutchins’ life.

Finally, there is the description of the movie: In 1880s Kansas, recently orphaned Lucas McCalister (Patrick Scott McDermott) accidentally kills a rancher and is sentenced to hang. In a twist of fate, his estranged grandfather, the notorious outlaw Harland Rust (Academy Award nominee Alec Baldwin), breaks him out of jail and takes him on the run toward Mexico. As they flee across the unforgiving wilderness, the fugitive pair must outrun the determined U.S. Marshal Wood Helm (Josh Hopkins) and a ruthless bounty hunter named “Preacher” (Travis Fimmel).

“Accidentally kills a rancher,” need I say more.

There is so much poor taste going around with actually releasing it, I can’t put in the correct words. So, I will leave it with the last line from the trailer, Baldwin says, “Heaven ain’t waiting on neither one of us.”
