The Wiggles are releasing their first Country album, Wiggle Up, Giddy Up! If you are going to do that, you need to work with the Queen. Therefore, they asked Dolly Parton to do a duet with them. And she said yes. Their song Friends is out now.
Parton said, “Well, I just wiggled my way out into the Wiggles’ world! I had so much fun being a part of this project, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we have.”
It was a project for her. The Wiggles and Dolly also recorded another single, We Will Always Be Friends. She let them rework her song Working 9-5 to Counting 1-5 and do a cover of Love is Like a Butterfly.
Red Wiggle Caterina Mete is such a fan that she has a tattoo of the singer and named one of her twins Dolly, just like Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn,
“Getting to work with my absolute musical hero is beyond surreal,” says Caterina. “Dolly has inspired me in so many ways, and I know these songs will bring so much happiness to families everywhere.”
The Queen of Country is beloved by people of all ages. So, this project is just introducing her to some new fans who still have their baby teeth. And that is a good thing.
Wiggle Up, Giddy Up will be released on March 7. Along with Dolly, The Wiggles worked with Lainey Wilson, Orville Peck, Dasha, Morgan Evans, Jackson Dean, Kaylee Bell, MacKenzie Porter, Troy Cassar-Daley, The Wolfe Brothers, Travis Collins, Lucky Oceans, and the late, great Slim Dusty.
