Seriously? OMG! WTF?

Interesting write-up on America’s Got Talent. We had been fans of the show; one of our late Summer guilty pleasures, but we noticed in recent seasons that the show seemed… highly edited. The flow of the televised show did not make sense, and on the audience reactions, we never got it because we thought the acts were awful. Thanks to the Grunge report, now I get why. We got hooked when AGT first went on the air. Loved watching the crazy auditions in the beginning of each season, but a lot of that has been pared down to one or two. These past two seasons, we actually were able to guess who was going to go “forward”; the requisite child protege, the C&W duo warbling some awful bar song, techno-something, a dog act, perhaps a comedian.

We’ve stopped actively looking for AGT in the channel guide. It’s gotten to rote. Now I know why.
