[ # ] NBC let Conan O’Brien go for him
February 10th, 2010 under Jimmy Fallon

If you read my blog you know the only late night shows I watch are Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, so I might be biased when I say I can’t believe that NBC let Conan O’Brien go and kept Jimmy Fallon. I never thought that Fallon was funny when he was on Saturday Night Live, so I never got why out of all the people out there NBC hired him to replace Conan. I have not watched any of his shows because I need my beauty sleep and my DVR can only record two programs at a time and they are recording the above shows. I do however get e-mails that sends out the best ofs from his show and every now and again I click on them to see if they are worth posting. Well today I clicked on his Lost parody because I love Lost and I was shocked by how freaking bad it was. After watching that bit, it blows my mind that NBC let Conan O’Brien leave to keep Fallon on the network. Even though I am not a fan of Conan, I will admit he is much funnier than Fallon.
Sorry I had to vent because that video was too stupid for me not to complain about it. Jimmy, NBC’s late night is depending on you until the Indian Giver is back in the timeslot he stole back, so prove your worth because Last is not cutting it.

Even if they would’ve fired Fallon, Conan wouldn’t take that time slot. Conan’s beef with NBC was that he wasn’t given enough time to build the Tonight Show audience and they wanted to push him back to midnight to allow for Leno at 11:30. Conan didn’t want to move to 12, let alone move to Fallon’s time slot.

You can bet that when Conan goes to Fox, he’ll be on at 11:30, head-to-head against Leno (and Letterman) – Fallon isn’t even on the equation.
