Tonight at 8p on NBC, it is time for the 1-hour season finale of Lopez vs Lopez. Just when you think that George Lopez can’t sink any lower, he finds a way to do it.
In the first episode, the Lopezes venture to the Church for confessions. But George tricks the Priest out of the confessional and takes his seat.
Josué (Jaime Camil), George’s ex-wife’s fianceé, goes first. George is hoping to get something he can use against him so that he can win Rosie (Selenis Leyva) back.
However, she doesn’t want to go back to him because he was a drunk, cheated on her, and he’s very selfish.
Mayan, George’s daughter, feels the same way as her mom. So imagine how he feels when he hears her say all of these things about him. He gets so upset that he winds up exposing him. As soon as he exits the confessional, the family all turn on him.
Mayan calls her therapist (Tisha Campbell) for an emergency session at her house, and she gives them an assignment. They all get to beat up a pinata of George. And this is the funniest scene of the series.
Once they get through that, it is time for the second episode. Chance (Brice Gonzalez) wants his parents to get married.
However, Mayan doesn’t want to get married because her dad ruined the concept of marriage for her. Even though she doesn’t want to do it, her boyfriend Quinten (Matt Shively) wants to make it official. He has had a ring in his pocket ever since Mayan told him she was pregnant. Will he finally be able to give her that ring?
You need to tune in for a really heartfelt hour of television. There needs to be more shows like this one, and I hope NBC brings it back for a third season.
