Her dad is still alive, but it sounds like his Frontotemporal dementia is winning. And that is so heartbreaking, as any child with a parent who has dementia or Alzheimer’s can tell you. It is so hard to watch your parent lose who they were and become just a shell of the person they once were. The one person you want to talk to about it, you can’t because they are longer there mentally, but you are seeing them look the same physically.
